I think if the match maker is going to take as long as it does (and im not complaining about that...I don't mind it) I think the ability to cancel a search, drop out of the queue without having to close the client might become a useful feature.

I just don't like having to shut down the client in order to drop out of the queue and return to the mechbay/mechlab. Gotta bother that overworked login server again and go through the 23 splash screens at the beginning (shameless self promotion ftw!).

Would this be difficult to throw in there? If it would require any serious time, I would rather see them work on other things, but it just seems like it should be an option to me.

I agree, even though the wait-times are much shorter again i would still like a way to cancel the queue:

Can we please get a Cancel-button to get out of the matchmaking queue?
