Yeah, you gotta wonder just what the odds of that happening today. Especially considering there are 7 or 8 threads about how people can't even find a single match in 30 minutes or more.

They said they were an 8-man. I was in a 4-man group in that game, don't know about the 4 others.

That's not a sync drop. Full blown 8-mans are in the regular queue now.

The complaints are that one 8 man team cannot sync drop against another 8 man for a match between two predetermined 8 man teams.

It's a bug in the newly implemented MM, 4 mans and random solo/PUGs are being pitted against 8 mans to satisfy ELO. Had 2 matches today similar to this. Not sure when a hot-fix is being loaded.

Four mans are dropping vs eight mans and all sorts of nonsense. Even outside of that it might not be a sync drop. There are different Liao groups that use different team speak servers as well, which has lead to some 8v8 Liao comedy at random. On some of the larger team speak servers you can find multiple fours, some eights, some two's and people solo'ing all at the same time as well.

Plus on the TS server we have, there are a TON of Asian players that are up at odd hours (for most Americans), so later in the night we tend to always end up running into each other.

I don't even recognize any of those names though, lol.

Still all comesback to allowing 4 man teams in a 8 man game. But lets not address that. Lets just talk in circles. As for my silence for awhile then sudden return, I was checking out other new titles, and playing alot less. Good news, my interest is renewed.

Okay, now since the change it's matching us against some teams we're steamrolling in about a minute. Does it have an ability to just choose anyone after a set time now?

Insanity, isn't it? They finally got rid of the PUG-stomping 8-man premades in, what, November? And now they've brought them back again, with a vengeance. That's kind of the opposite of progress, really. What's next, are PGI going to be replacing all their servers with replicas of Babbage's Difference Engine?

Maybe if *cough* people *cough* would have spent less time QQing about 8 mans in a theoretical match earlier today, the team I may or may not have been on would have won instead of going 3-8 against an 8 man premade. The leftover 5 were all just barely hanging in there, one extra focused player couldve easily turned the tide. Hypothetically speaking of course.

Well, the player who was allegedly 'QQing' still managed to kill more enemy mechs than 5/7ths of his teammates did, so I wouldn't place too much of the blame at his doorstep.

Well if that hypothetical guy did his fair share whilst his teammates twiddled their thumbs, then ELO will sort them out soon enough and he will find himself in better teams.

So a team of 8mans vs 8 pugs both of which have the same aprox skill is going to kill the game. yes the 8mans have voice comms and are an actual team. But both teams have the same skill average. If its that big a deal Instead of constantly asking for separate queues why not pressure for an Ingame voice chat that doesn't require you to be in a group before hand?

The main gripe with the 8 man que was and remains the lack of any sort of class match making. Which sucks any sort of fun and enjoyment out of it.
