Its because your being jammed by ECM. Simple solution? Kill the mech with the ECM.

Its bad now because theres a plethora of mechs that all use guided weapons that just dropped and its popular, so all the ECM ravens and commandos are having a field day killing the cripple kids.

how can kill? all attempts to fire! are met with low signal.

note, i shout "FIRE!!!" irl as loud as i can every time i shoot my missiles.

Possibly try some other weapons systems?
You may know them as L.A.S.E.R.s normal SRMs work as well.

If you're mounting nothing but SSRMs/LRMs you deserve everything that happens to you under the ECM blanket.
