Custom matchmaking should be available to players, in exchange for MC equivelent to the retail cost of a game ($60).

What do I mean by custom matchmaking? Players that pay for it should be able to designate the number of people in a match, the maps they want to play on, game time limits, respawn and repair rules (if any), team rules, tonnage limits, and things such as that.

Remember the basic rule of F2P: If you are not paying for the service, you are the product, not the customer.

By proxy, extending temporary custom matchmaking capability to people with active premium time would also make sense.

Some players want to change the number of people in a match. 8 vs 8 is not everyone's favorite flavor. It's like going to a restaurant with ONE item on the menu. A lot of people would enjoy 12 vs 12 or 16 vs 16. Some of us want 3 vs 3, or 1 vs 1. Some of us never ever EVER want to find ourselves on River City Night again.

Some of us are prepared to aggressively monetize a game that grants us these options. I don't want to buy a mech, and I don't want to buy a faster grind. I want to buy an engaging gameplay experience, and the game does not offer that.

If nothing else, now that repairs are out they ought to hack in the ability to do some sort of off-the-books private matchmaking where stats and earnings don't count. Think of all the testing that could happen amongst willing participants, not to mention that whole volatile player tournament thing gets solved.

60 bucks for private matchmaking? get lost before PGI gets any ideas out of you.
Oh wait, you are probably a IGP employee trying to convince the community about this, or at least make us think it was OUR idea.

it MUST be like that or a troll...

You miss the point...
The point is there should be matchmaking/selecting game modes at all - not this piece of *#@+ where you end up playing river city night or frozen fog twenty times in a row
