Modules
Modules are items that you can attach to your Mech for certain bonuses and they do not weigh anything.
- Mechs can only have a certain amount of modules attached to them.
- You can increase the amount of module slots on a Mech by mastering a Mech through the Mech Trees.
- You do not need to master a Mech to install Modules. Mastering a Mech only increases the amount of modules the mech is able to carry by 1.
- Before you can attach/buy a module to your Mech, you will need to unlock their availability via the Pilot Tree using GXP (General XP).
- Unlocking a Module unlocks their availability for all Mechs.
Pilot Tree
How to access the tree: At the top of the screen there is a button called Pilot Lab. Click this and a button below will appear that says Pilot Tree.
There are four categories in the tree you can choose modules from: Vision, Targeting, Support, and Sensor.
- Vision will contain modules that include different zoom strengths, and other vision enhancing modes.
- Targeting will contain modules that retain target data/information.
- Support will contain modules that will aid you in certain game modes, such as capping modules to reduce the time it takes to capture a base.
- Sensor will contain modules that enhance the distance at which enemy signatures are identified, and the rate at which target data is acquired.
How to outfit your Mech with a module
Once you've decided on which module to unlock, go to the Mech Lab and click on the mech you want to outfit.
Click on the Modules button at the top of the screen. To the right, there are four buttons that relate to the four categories of modules. Click through them and the modules that you unlocked previously from the Pilot Tree will appear green. Simply drag and drop the module you want into any of the [ EMPTY ] slots and click Save Mech.
If this doesn't answer your questions let me know.
Keep playing and you'll get more GXP, but in little amounts. If you invest in premium time you will gain Xp faster and c-bills. alternately you can just convert your XP to GXP, for MC though.
