FROM THE PATCH NOTES

Mech Efficiencies:

- Basic `Mech Efficiencies are now correctly doubled when Elite status is obtained. (NOTE: Elite status requires you to have all 4 Elite talents purchased for that variant).

So yeah, I didn't realize this was a bug.

Now I have a bunch of mechs lying about that no longer have 2x basics.

I don't play a lot but I have a fair number of mechs and previously I'd work my way upto 2x basics and speed tweak and then just jump to another chassis (not a lot of interest in modules and they're not terribly game changing in PUG play IMO)

Guess I have to go back and grind out some of my older mechs.

That was never a bug, just a clarification.

I do think its funny though that the Fast Fire perk was actually gimping us.

Fortunately 5% is a statistically irrelevant number when youre talking about CDs of less then 5 or 6. Trust me, i play a lot of LoL and i know what 40% Cd redux feels like on skills that base out at 3-5 seconds.

Sort of reinforces that the elites were/are kind of pants (except speed tweak)

Still, I'm not raging or anything, just wondering about the why behind this change.

If I read that correctly, the 2x did not work at all before this patch. Now they do, but only after you elited the variant.

Okay now that makes more sense.

One could still call the old "buff" a "heat efficiency buff". Less shots mean less heat.

Luckily, for all my mediums (Hunchbacks, Centurions), I went all the way up to master. So they're even better now, nice. I knew it'll pay up eventually. ;)
