Please allow map selection, in the same way we can choose conquest or assault mode, just give us a checklist of maps we do or do not want to drop into.

If you do this, please allow those of us who want to run generalist mechs rather than ones tuned to specific maps to drop into a separate random-map-only queue.

No thanks.
Come now, the specialists want to be able to splat you with their cheese 1 trick pony mechs.

Map selection = cheese builds suited for each map. So no!

I'm down, just because I'd like to get to SEE the new map before I grow old and die. Y'know, maybe once per every ten or fifteen thousand trips to Frozen City? I'm not asking a lot, am I?
Because my favorite map (Caustic Valley) and the new map (Alpine Peaks, though I suspect that THAT cake is a freaking lie), are the two of which I see the LEAST. And I'mm not running some cheese sniper or boat mech.
Seriously, it MAY have been just a skewed observation at first, but lately it seems that, after a few months, I see way too damned much of Frozen City and River City. Between their respective day and night versions, it's not unusual at all to play 8-10 matches in a night all on one of those two maps, with MAYBE one trip to Forest Colony. If I play 25 matches a week, maybe TWO will be in Caustic Valley. And in the time since the new patch, I've seen Alpine Peaks exactly ONCE in over six hours of play.
It'd be nice to know exactly how the map rotation works, even if we ARE pretty much helpless to affect that...

I assume some people do have a fast-running Atlas and a brawler Spider, but I am not one of them. The Mechs here are quite specialized themselves and absolutely do not allow for certain playstyles for the sake of balance... But I guess I am just playing this game wrong, so my opinion will probably be ignored. Or can we perhaps, you know, have a poll?
