100+kph just doesnt feel as fast as it used to.. It used to feel fast.. but now it feels slow, fees more like 80kph.
I've heard others in game feel the same way...
heck back in CB runnin 130+kph felt like flyin around on a super nitro go-cart... Now it just seems to have lost that edgy fast feel..

Is It Me Or Does Fast Feel Slower Than It Used To Be.

maybe you got used to it, I run heavier mechs and I tried the trial jenner...was like warp speed

Yeah I personally have messed around with heavies, when I jumped back into Jenners, it was a huge difference. You get used to what you play most.
Maybe its true as well, but I haven't noticed it.

I run lights only and yes, they certainly do feel slower now. If you hop between assaults and lights you may think it's just you. But speeds have been feeling progressively slower since a coupla patches back. Like they tuned it down bit by bit so we don't notice it that much. I see what PGI did there.

I do not use lights anywhere near as much as I used to and they definitively do feel slower than before.

Maybe they've been slowly easing the speeds back (so maybe what reads as 100kph is what used to be 80kph and so forth) in order to put in "Faster" light mechs / MASC later without Cryengine bursting into tears. Then we'll all praise them as god-like devs for taming the Cryengine beast when they "solve the issue" and put in a "180kph" Flea (or whatever) down the line.
IT COULD BE TRUE.

I find that my 99kph wang and my 100(or so ) kph jenner feel pretty fast when piloting but when i see cicada's and ravens and what not zipping along they don't seem to be going as fast as they once did. Then again maybe I'm a better shot now.

I upped my Cent from 80 to 90 and it feels faster than b4.
I stopped playing Lights and Cicadas bcs its not my style but i really got used to their speed and it felt not that fast after some days as at the beginning (and there was no patch).
Maybe the smoother framerates have a part on the feeling of less pace, maybe they have followed EVE and implemented time dilation...but when i encounter a real fast Mech its a fast as the weeks b4 though there is a shitload of slow, bad outfitted Lights underway (pre patch).
Maybe you feel slower bcs Trebs and Cents and Awesomes got faster?
