You can keep it in game if you annouce it after an enemy mech has detailed target data on you.

You need to drop it on TAG and NARC designations.



I feel this is a reasonable compromise.

Nope. It's fairly reasonable to be able to detect somebody doing a detailed scan of you. Detailed scans are active scans, they should be detectable.

That said, there should be a 2 second delay between starting the scan and notifying the target, and if the scan is dropped (target dropped / changed) the target should be none the wiser.

Modules should be created to increase the delay between scan start and target notification.
