I enjoyed playing MWO before the patch, games where quick, the cbills came in fast. Now that we have better matches, I do really enjoy the more difficult game play and having to be on my feet more instead of clobbering really bad players. However, I have found a big issue, and that's that my c-bills have dropped precipitously due to more cautious players, and matches taking 2-3 times as long. I am worried that with new mechs coming out, the amount of games i will have to play as a F2P in order to accumulate enough c-bills will become astronomical.

I would like to be able to get more c-bills now that games take 2-3 times as long, so to maintain my initial amount that would mean pgi would need to increase winnings by 3X.

Time modifier might be a good thing like serapth mentioned, im thinking along the same lines. Or just increase the base win loss amount. If your going to be losing 50/50 its going to drop your c bills no matter what, so if elo works instead of 70-30 or 80-20 wins your going to be making alot less if you lose 50% of the time

As a side note, my GPU is getting murdered after this patch, anyone else notice performance drops?

I suppose that is valid, under the new better system we are going to see longer matches and as a result, less money.

I agree with that, but it's a trade-off I would gladly make. One possible thing PGI could do is put in a time factor in the reward equation. Then say if a match was < 5 minutes, no modifier, > 5 < 10 = 25% bonus, etc...

I haven't even been looking at my c-bills income since MM3 went live. I'll be sure to take note and see if it's stable or if it's taking a dip.

PGI will, of course, be able to look at the entire data telemetry to see if it's a true decrease overall or if it's just isolated cases.

I was thinking something along those lines too, with a time modifier. It's not that i'm not enjoying the games, Its that I really like to experiment with mechs, but i don't have the time to get the cbiils to be able to buy and play around with new mechs. I really want a trebuchet but i cant afford it averaging 400-600k cbills an hour.

I think this may also affect Players with higher ELO scores more.

Perhaps just an Elo ranking income bonus based on percentiles could be in order? Upper 5 percentile maybe a 25% bonus, upper 15 a 15% bonus, upper 30 a 10% bonus, upper 40 a 5% bonus, and no bonus applied under that.
