A PPC's current model of ECM interruption is cool - but it doesn't make any sense. The disruption comes from the EMP wave of the PPC. This is incurred on the splash - that is, the impact into anything. The interruption should trigger on successful impact of a PPC into either the mech itself, an adjacent mech, or terrain object within 30m radius of the mech in question. You can do a random roll on it's effects its not a direct strike to be fair... but in all honesty, if you should shield yourself from EMP at 30m, you could shield from it at 0. This would open up the EMC shield bubbles much more - oh, and the effect should impact all those within bubble range. As it stands now, you can pelt an ECM mech with PPC but if he's got other ECM mechs in bubble range, you wont change anything.

Um... no. I think of it more as the energy of the cannons pulse spreading over what it hits as opposed to an explosion when the bolt strikes something. Makes more sense from this standpoint to only affect the mech struck by the weapon.

I would like to see a ppc strike disable the hud, and cause a reboot of all electronics. the only thing that is working is your targeting reticle. give me some incentive to use this weapon
