theres like something involving teh third law of thermodynamics or something...
either way, i only ever intended to ever own 4 HBK's its obvious I would never ever ever ever utilize more than 10 hbks to make the 750 mc accidental purchase of the camo unlock worth while.
requested to refund teh purchase(like they did a few weeks ago) and i was informed that the universe would collapse should they refund my fake, no blood sweat or tears, digital currency
thank you for once again showing us just how well prepared you are to bend your player base over. let me know the next time i need to grab my ankles to help the cause.

Then it should be an issue for them to refund it. After all 'it's only 3 bucks' right?

You see, NO chasis has, or WILL HAVE, that many variants. The point is, you can now use that scheme on any of those HBKs, whenever you want. You might get bored, and switch back to a default paint scheme. If you buy the 75 MC "single use", that means if you change it, and want to use that camo scheme again later, you have to pay that 75 MC all over again.
Most of us who play a lot will inevitably change our Mechs paint job many times, out of boredom, as new options become available, etc. Hence if you "unlock" Hunchback Phranken, or Hunchback Tiger Camo, any time in the future you wish to re-apply it, you can. Few people will design one paint scheme and decide that is the perfect paint job forever and all time.
Sorry you didn't get the value you wanted, but you had to cofirm that you indeed were amking that purchase.

Seems perfect for this situation... and it's not like you handed them a 1000mc bill and only got 250 back when you were expecting 9925.
Basically what happened was this:
You: "Oooh shiny. I want this." grabs permanent unlock by mistake.
System: "You're sure? You do know this costs 750 MC, right?"
You: "Shut up and take my money."
System: "Ok. Enjoy your permanent unlock."
You: "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. I want my money back."

I sent in a ticket explaining in a calm rational way what had happened and that I was a ***** but also pointing out in a subtle way the buttons should be not right next to each other (they do ask you are you sure, always read the "are you sure"s)
After several emails exchanging details of what had happened I had my MC back and had deducted the appropriate amount of Cbills with a friendly note to be more careful and that they probably wouldn't do it again in the future (everyone gets one) which is more than reasonable
After this very professional topic of yours I'm sure they will be happy to now refund your mistake

IDK, maybe there's enough hyperbole in it to tear a hole in space and time, and three dollars could fall out. Or a gang of winged monkeys with vests and MP5s. One of those things.

Ive returned lots of things I didnt want. I never bought anything by istake either. I never went up to a casher and said "Id like to buy these milkduds" and when they said "are you sure? Those are junior mints" and then was confused that I had purchased junior mints. Also, junior mints are icky.

This is something they might swap you for. But mc only products? nope they rightfully should not.

Well, seeing that you can only return unused goods to the shop and no company on the planet will refund for digital goods (ever tried to get a refund for an mp3 downloaded from Amazon?), this analogy doesn't hold any water.
I guess PGI would have to hire a complete division of new staff members to manage the flow of "Oh, I accidentally bought this, could you please refund?"-mails they would get if they offered refund for people who are not bright enough to buy what they really want.

Anyways, i haven't tried to recover any mc's very little point, i'm just disheartened, i have spent in the region of £150 since joining at the begining of open beta but haven't bought any mc in months due to the 'small print' style of marketing.
Oh and to those who keep posting 'it's only 3 bucks', yeah maybe but
3 bucks x 1 person = 3 bucks
3 bucks x 10 people = 30 bucks
3 bucks x 100 people = 300 bucks
3 bucks x 1000 people = 3000 bucks
you see how that works, if everyone gave me 10 pence i'd be a millionaire tomorrow

i got the same lame response that they will not refund me.
I have a good job and a few bucks wasted isnt going to put a dent in me at all, but thats not the point. I have put well over $100 into this game, which in most businesses of this size would label me was a good, repeat customer, where they cater to them in the small cases like this.
But saying its physically impossible... I find that hard to beleive, its PHYSICALLY impossible to refund MC, which leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

2nd: you accepted the terms, of which one is, that MC´s won´t be refunded...period. it was very very very nice of PGI to make an exception with founders packs last year... contract is contract
i suggest for the future to think twice before you hit the "buy" button...and the confirmation...

Not as bad as when I accidentally sold my Yen Lo Wang and had to buy another
