Will PGI/IGP
Give the community they serve a drop lobby, so that community warriors can meet up, chit chat, and form their handpicked lances to drop planetside in a 4v4 8v8 12v12 etc etc....
....in time.
Beta requires patience.
Development requires patience.
Pay for what you choose.
Pay what you can afford.
Enjoy the game you have waited decades for.
Is it that difficult to realize?

I am convinced PGI no longer cares for anything the community wants. They just want our money which we gave them in our founders packs and then they take away our competitive play.

If it's all the same to you, I'd like to read a current statement from an actual Developer... Something that gives some details, addresses concerns, and fleshes out a rudimentary timeline...

come on everyone.....it is BETA.
BETA is discovery.
Beta makes no concrete promises.
Pliability and accepting the curve of learning is a necessity.
Can we not just play and enjoy? Let the Devs work their magic, test , trial and re test the things we all want?

Are my dollars spent only Beta dollars? I think not. Once they start accepting money, as they have, the entire "It's Beta" argument really loses a lot of its validity.

Metro, could you condense your posts a little bit please? I don't mean to sound like a jerk but with all of the extra carriage returns and spacing it's a little hard to read/follow your train of thought.

To be or not to be...entitled. I suppose this is the question that constantly startles those who think they deserve a perfect playing experience of a still developing game, much less those anticipating that it will meet their every whim and need to put their anxious minds to rest. Especially when they think they deserve things based on having paid money or having been a "member of the community" for a certain amount of time.
No one made you pay money for a product you aren't interested in. No one said "if you spend this much time here you're more important".
Get over yourselves. The game is developing, as you might expect from something in BETA. You're entitled to nothing, you can pay for the service or not pay for it. It's this amazing thing they call consumer feedback.

I think a lot of this feeling of detachment could be fixed with an MMO style chat system. Something of that nature will be a veritable necessity when CW rolls in anyway.

Assuming that your opinions count for 'the community' is a mistake many people make on both sides. It's best to not assume that your opinion is what everyone thinks.
A lobby is going to be a not inconsiderable expense to code, test, retest, implement, maintain and troubleshoot. What will it do to regular matchmaking? Elo? Does that mean there is no Elo since the games population will be split? Is your opinion that everyone who doesn't want lobby games is just, well, out of luck?
A lobby is going to add time to getting into matches and generating data for testing. At some point there may be a lobby but for now the game is in beta. That you choose to spend money on stuff that's purely decorative and convenience driven when the game is very clearly stated as beta... well, they're not taking your camo or mech bays away. You didn't buy access to certain maps. You bought premium time or mech bays or hero mechs or camo to use in the system as it is. Money has nothing to do with it.
A lobby would be nice but it's not free to make or maintain nor is any changes to how matchmaking going to work for everyone in the game a small undertaking nor something to do lightly.
If we get one, great. If not, I'm sure something will come in time.

This game will be in beta forever. That is the nature of this sort of game. So my question is this: how is beta two years from now supposed to be different from beta now?
Also, if this is beta, where is the bug submit and ticket tracking system that so many other games in beta testing have? Am I just supposed to send emails to support? That is a terrible way of tracking bugs and issues and indicates either a level of haphazardness and amateurism in development, or indicates that they don't care about us reporting bugs and other issues.
