You're talking about 10-ish meter tall walking piles of metal, here. It'd take one helluva bush to obscure that. Tall trees and actual blocking terrain, yes, but not bushes. As it happens, that's already in the game. You're not going to hide a mech behind one scrubby tree, but I can point out several places in the game that have lines of trees that will totally obscure a mech from vision. Battlemechs are supposed to use a variety of sensors that tell them something is there, and as it stands, having a target show up on sensors doesn't tell you you actually have a clear shot, since the red square looks the same whether you are detecting them directly or picking up sensor info from a teammate. While I'm not as fanatical as some about sticking to canon tech, I'd be strongly against rewriting it to include giving into your need to be able to walk up to your target invisibly.

I do not understand this...everybody was complaining about ECM how OP is it, because you could not target the mechs anymore.
And now there is poll, to introduce another ECM-like behaviour, to counter snipers which also could already have ECM installed...
i'm confused...

Well, as it is right now the game seems to be gravitating towards massed PPC and Gauss builds because of the lack of option to close distance undetected besides 1. Rush cave 2. Weave through building.
Poptarts make the use of small hills and building hard too.

That really isn't any different than its ever been. Most people boat weapons, PPCs are just a new one to boat because of the recent heat fix for them and now the ECM counter for 4 sec. As for closing distance....its supposed to be a challenge. It keeps the game from being a massive brawl all the time. I'm not a fan of people boating weapons but at least I'm seeing less splat cats.
