Simple poll is simple. Would you purchase a faction bundle if launched with community warfare? Details below on what a faction bundle is.

The intentions of this program would be to;

kick-start community warfare.
establish a player-base for all factions

Founders Program; Veteran, Elite and Legendary
Faction Bundle; Starter, Essentials and Ultimate

Community Warfare; launch.

A similar scenario to "open beta" launch where the Founders program provided early access to the closed beta game, these bundles however would NOT provide early access to content. Like the Founders Program, Faction Bundle assets would drop on the date Community Warfare is hard-dated to go live.

Drawing from the Founders Program as an example, each Faction Bundle would contain battlemechs with a permanent in-game loyalty point increase and come with a unique faction specific camo pattern complete with faction specific colors. Each faction would have their own tier packages as the Founders Program did. There would be Starter, Essentials and Ultimate bundle versions for each Faction . Bundles can combine on accounts IE; Legendary Founders + Essentials Kurita + Ultimate Clan Ghost Bear would be feasible.

One of the main differences between the Founders Program and this suggested Faction Bundles would be each tier comes with a battlemech. As the founders, the faction bundles would have one battlemech and a unique skin/loyalty point increase per weight division (light, medium, heavy and assault). The Starter tier would come with one battlemech (choice). The Essentials tier would come with two battlemechs (choice) and the Ultimate tier would come with all four battlemechs.

Price.

Obviously the price would not be nearly as expensive as the original founders packages because there would be no money currency or premium time included. I would however keep a similar scale. For the purposes of this thread, costs would look something like this;
  • HOUSE KURITA; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • HOUSE LIAO ; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • HOUSE MARIK; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • FREE RASALHAGUE REPUBLIC; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • HOUSE STEINER; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • HOUSE DAVION; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • Lone Wolf; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • MercenaryCorporation; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • Clan Ghost Bear; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • Clan Jade Falcon; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • Clan Wolf; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
  • Clan Smoke Jaguar; 15.00 / 30.00 / 60.00
I would intend on having these bundles available the entire duration of the game. However, cheaper as presented now for a short time IE; 2 months. Then, once the sale has ended each bundle price increases by $10 and is purchasable at any time. In addition, you could still upgrade for example a Essentials bundle to an Ultimate.

What would you do? Would you support the program, or not? Discuss!

Seeing as how I didn't have the money to even get the basic founder package in the first place, and still currently do not have money... Maybe.

It all depends on if I have the money, and what mechs are being offered. Throw a timberwolf and adder in there, I'd find a way to get legendary, period.

Hero Clan mechs should be enough. Founders packages are actually not a very good deal in retrospect.

I can see that, I do enjoy my Founders though. I don't enjoy the hero-mech's as much.

"Check Boxes" :)

But seriously, i marked all of them because i would certainly buy at least one of the offerings it all depends on how many chicken legged mechs would be available.

so free mechs with cbill bonus , 3 free weeks of premium time when OB hit and 20,000mc for the 60 you paid was not worth it? really ? ... in turn that elite u bought would be worth around $100 if you where to buy it seperate now ...

I do not expect any future packages to be nearly as good of a value as the founder packs were. The Elite pack, at $60, was a $115 value.

Would I buy another $60 package? Yes. Just don't expect over $100 worth of stuff to be included in such a package.

I've already spent about 3 times as much on this game than I have on any other video game since... well, ever. So no. They have what money they can get out of me at this point.

Can it really be called 'Founders' at this point?

And really, you guys shouldn't be giving them more ways to part you from your dollars.

No, no and heck no...

Reasons?

1) ECM - Devs won't even admit they made a huge mistake combining 3 ECM features in one 2 slot 1.5 ton device. Until they do that and stop the bandaid process they won't get another dime.

2) Matchmaking - Can't play with my buddies in anything more than 4 man and when we did 8 man it was ECM fest and nothing resembling realistic drops.

3) Heat Management - Double Heat Sinks are 1.4 value... stop and think about that as one of the MAIN benefits of Clan technology was how it handled heat. They could fire more damaging, accurate and longer ranged weapons without giving much thought to heat buildup versus an IS mech.

So no... I supported them with my original package but I don't approve the direction they are going with the game. Only way I can really protest is posting on here and simply play testing the game once in a blue moon versus the steady game play. You'll find me on WarThunder and elsewhere these days until ECM and either private matchmaking or a tonnage/bv system is put in place.

Freebirth can be the basic package for $60, Trueborn can be $100.

Screw canon, just throw random references and names from BT in there, people will eat it up.

I wish I could edit the topic, "Founders Program; Trueborn Clans" sounds appealing.

Good chance I would buy elite, depending what mechs are in. Loki or Thor, and I'd go for it, anything else and I'd pass.

Although I'm happy without clans at all, I don't think that is an option.
