Be sure to check the official Developer content preview thread and as always keep your eyes on the Command Chair.

The patch basics:
  • Server downtime should begin Tuesday around 10 am PDT (1pm EDT, 5 pm GMT)
  • Server downtime typically lasts about 2-3 hours. Forums will be down/unstable during this downtime. You may not be able to login.
  • Patch deployment comes after the downtime (approx 1pm PST, 4 pm EST, 9pm GMT)
  • Patch notes are typically not delivered until the patch deployment phase.
Patch Notes will be available here when they are ready:

http://mwomercs.com/game/patch-notes

Currently announced for inclusion on the March 19th Patch:

Jagermech confirmed variants: (confirmed in ask the devs 19)
  • JM6-DD
  • JM6-S
  • JM6-A
Jagermech stock loadouts & minimum hardpoints to support stock loadout (From Sarna)
  • JM6-DD...2x Ultra AC/5, 2x AC-2, 2x m.pulse lasers.CASE, XL, FF...(4B 2E)
  • JM6-S.......2x AC-5, 2x AC-2, 2x Medium laser.....................(4B 2E)
  • JM6-A.......2x AC-2, 2 LRM-15, 2x medium laser....................(2B 2E 2M)
Jagermechs mount their ballistic (and in one case, missile) weapons to their arms, with their backup medium lasers or medium pulse lasers in the side torsos.

Jagermechs are famous for their negligible armor. They also come stock with a 260 rated engine, the same engine rating as the stock Catapults, so we can expect a similar speed:engine profile and similar maximum engine size.

I feel like the JM6-A will be the most interesting owing to it's unique hardpoint layout (unmatched by any other Heavy mech). You should also be prepared to fight dual AC-20 Jagers who will be much faster than their K2 counterparts and able to shoot up/down a slope!

This is an educational thread written to provide one-stop-shopping for upcoming updates. Let's stay on topic and leave complaints about individual items to their respective threads and/or the patch feedback section.

All information based on published material, sources cited where applicable. Not endorsed by PGI/IGP.

Will we be able to pay MC to replace the coolant flush sound with a toilet flushing sound?

Seriously, that should be the next set of things you can purchase: Bathroom tiles for your cockpit, a toilet seat (round or oval, depending on your preference), toilet paper hangar and roll (facing the wall, or facing the seat), the coolant flush sound effect...

And if they want to really bling it out, they should have a rattling sound (the toilet handle jiggling) when your ultra autocannons jam.

I think due possibility to be faster AC/20 cat Jagermech will have big side torsos which will downgrade another "normal" and non min/max builds...yea thx minmaxers-I-wanna-win-for-any-cost....

side torso hit location will be a big deal, that will make it or break it if you can run an XL or not. But if you're not going to run an XL, then you may as well buy a Cataphract since I think they will do standard engine build better than a Jager (different hardpoint location, certainly, but more tons to dedicate to a standard engine and full armor and dakka)

Speculation on Jager costs:
  • JM6-DD = 11,386,925 c-bills?
  • JM6-S = 5,232,425 c-bills?
  • JM6-A = 5,413,925 c-bills?

This is the info I'm looking for. I'm interested in how they're going to distinguish between the -DD and the -S; of course they'll start with different weapons and whatnot but in the end they share hardpoints and base engine size as of right now. It'll be interesting to see how the devs make them distinguishable.

Typically the prices are only slightly different than the canon prices, so I'd say those are good estimates. I'm trying to get 12 mill put away for my first one, either the DD or one of the others after upgrades.

The DD comes with an XL maybe it will have a higher max engine rating. They could do the enrgy hardpoints in the CT on one and STs on the other.

Well if you look at other mechs with the same 'stock hardpoints' we see one gets a few extra ballistic and the other gets a few extra energy, etc, but also hey made multiple Stalkers with strictly same/worse hardpoints, so we'll have to wait and see

I'm looking forward to this mech, though I foresee having to shuffle things around to bring up the armor values a bit. Thanks for posting the notes. I find these pretty helpful on patch week.

Well, the TT Jagermechs have the same size engine, just the DD's is XL (ie, the DD has XL260, the others STD260). Putting the energy hardpoints on the CT vs L/RT is certainly one approach though.

Indeed... I'm always interested in how the devs will approach this. The Trebuchet is a good example... most of the stock treb builds are pretty simple, but the devs added things like extra missile, energy, and ballistic slots where ones already existed in order to distinguish between them. Should be interesting.

The JM6-DD is a drastic upgrade of the design that makes use of Lostech equipment. A weight saving XL Engine and Ferro Fibrous armor free up tonnage to upgrade the weapons. Two UAC/5s double the rate of fire over standard AC/5s. Medium Pulse Lasers add additional close range punch over the standard Medium Lasers. Finally CASE is added to prevent the 'Mech from being completely destroyed by an ammo explosion.
All stats are based on Table Top statistics until more information for MechWarrior: Online is publicly released.

When they add the "quirks" to this mech I think it would be interesting if they boosted the sensors or did something encompassing them to reflect the Jag's primary role and its use of the Garret T2J tracking system.

Also, there should be a little indicator that shows when a coolant flush is taking place.... something that spins clockwise for people in north america, and counterclockwise for people in australia.

(And yes, I know that doesn't actually happen).

Most non-Hero variants have at least a couple more hardpoints than the stock build for that variant, but I wouldn't expect to ever see them actually move a hardpoint from it's canon location (with the possible exception of theoretical shoulder pods on Clan mechs *shudder-twitch*). They seem too committed to canon for that. Not that they couldn't, but I don't imagine they will. Expect the differences to lie in what extra hardpoints they get, where those extras are located, and in their own MWO-specific stats (twist speed/angle, accel/decel, turn speed, etc...).

I'm anticipating a lot of side torso deaths due to those huge fins on the Jaeger. And the spam, oh my the artillery/airstrike spam of the consumables are going to be so darn annoying. I just hope I get to test the Tourmaline map a few times before I get sick of the constant running from consumables.
