Welcome back ISN. The news blackout was starting to pay havoc with the doomsayers.

Not sure... It definitely wasn't common knowledge in the IS. Well that's what I hear anyways. That us "not knowing" about the Clan invasion yet is true to canon.

Yeah none of the IS knew a thing about the invasion 'till it was already well underway

My post was just a joke.

I was kinda hoping they were just going to retcon the whole "Clan" thing ;-)

Was worried we lost the ISN. Did someone bring an ECM mech into the broadcast center again?

By March of 3050 dozens of planets within the FRR and Lyran Commonwealth were taken. By the end of April 3050, Kurita moved his troops on the Combine / Federated border to the periphery and let the information leak to the Federated Suns in the hopes that Hanse Davion would follow suit. That whole 'enemy of the enemy thing'.

ComStar had been keeping things on the down low but multiple parties were not far behind because someone within ComStar got lazy with data meant to keep things looking like normal.

All in all, the IS was not nearly as blind as some would think by this point in the timeline. They knew Clan names like Smoke Jag's and Ghost Bear by this point because the Clans were in contact with each planet before they took them. The reason for that was the bidding process used by the Khans and subsequent field commanders in order to obtain the highest level of honor possible by way of taking a planet with the fewest resources as possible.

The IS may not have known the entirety of what was going on at the moment but many people understood at least in part that things were very grim and the technology possessed by the Clans was far greater than their own.

That being said, is PGI staying with the current timeline or have they adopted their own for the sake of falling behind?

Is Garth really a Clanner !! I mean he goes away and the Clan Invasion seems to halt , not a single ISN Flash about strange stuff in the Periphery !!! I think Garth might be a member of Wolfs Dragoons !!

Well, part of it is that Garth was out of commission for some time I'm sure. As for the rest....well, now that he's back we'll have to wait and see. :)

Yeah, I'm not knocking Garth by any means. Vacations are needed and I know he is a canon nerd like the rest of us. For the sake of transparency I just want to know what the deal is in terms of the timeline and if they plan on rolling back a few months to make it easier on them.

:)
