Are you actually serious?
FACT: Third person view has been a staple of the Mechwarrior franchise since forever.
FACT: Third person view in no way "dumbs down" the game. Call of Duty doesn't have 3PV, but Arma 3, which blows MWO out of the water in terms of realistic simulation, does.
FACT: The "advantage" gained by TPV is marginal at best considering the gameplay design of MWO; there will be no popping out of cover for a quick headshot after scoping someone in 3PV around a corner.
FACT: TPV is of big interest to most gamers, especially of the casual variety and especially when concerning piloting vehicles. Just look at any video of World of Tanks, War Thunder, BF3 tank driving, et al. Despite not really giving them any major battlefield advantage, people prefer this viewmode because it lets them see themselves, their vehicle, and every action they take, like a child playing with a toy on the floor below him. There is nothing wrong with this.
FACT: TPV would help custom paint jobs actually matter, as you'll be able to see your own damned paintjob in real-time during a match rather than just a static image in a mechlab profile.
FACT: If you are irrational enough to threaten a boycott because of TPV, you are an unstable person.
