Would it be too much to ask to not have to move my components from one mech to another when I want to switch? I'm definitely not going to buy another XL 300 engine, so why not let me equip it to multiple mechs at the same time? Seems like a huge quality of life boost if I ever saw one.

You can just take it out and put it in another mech you know...

FIrst no repair and reload and now you want to just "unlock" items and be able to equip them anywhere. :D

Coming SoonTM will be dropship mode where you will set up several mechs in advance to be dropped into one or more missions back to back. You will need multiple gear for multiple mechs then.

He doesn't want to have to do that, He thinks that he should be able to buy any piece of equipment and have that one item installed on every mech he owns.

My guess is that when we have dropship mode (or whatever it is), you'll have to have gear for each mech that you want to take along. ie - You'll need to own an XL engine for each mech (that uses and XL300) that you want to take in dropship.

I could see maybe if when you loadout a mech with something you own that's already equipped on another mech, it asks you if you want to strip it from your other mech or if you want to buy a new one.

no friggin way. if you want the convenience of not having to mech-bay between matches, then you have to buy 2 XL engines, that's the price you pay for being lazy. i know lots of folks who have multiple duplicates of the same type of engine, even more than 1 of the same chassis variants ( ie someone bought ANOTHER k2 because he wanted a gauss cat and a AC/20 cat and didn't want to **** around in the mechlab to change them ) that's how it ought to be

Wow, That would mean I would have like 18 of everything. That would be a bit... excessive.

I already have like 90 single heat sinks just sitting around. They sure breed like rabbits when no one is looking!

Well, yes, but that was a reason for them not to make them unlocks, so that those playing that mode would have to purchase everything for 4 mechs.

I have near duplicates of mechs. 2 K2s (one Boomcat, on LLASCat) 2 A1s (Splatcat, LRM/streak) fully equipped with modules, engines, weapons, etc...

I know console gamers have a hard time realizing the concept of time/cbill sink, but FFS, try.

I would settle for saved loadouts so I don't have to try to rebuild my mech from memory if I make changes to experiment.

Part of the game is the cost of the components. If you want to run several mechs and dont want the downtime of moving components then you pay for the convenience. Simple.

It's like saying I bought a Shelby and a 6cyl Mustang now why doesn't my 6cyl mustang enjoy the benefit of the Shelby engine as well.

i would love to have a "Strip all" button for each mech. I would also like a strip modules and strip cockpit items button. I frequently forget which mech I put my air freshener, or my capture assist module. Anything that helps me take it off of one mech and on to another is welcome.

Who the hell is insane enough to pay millions of CB to save a few seconds every now and then? It takes an average gamer at least two weeks to save up for a big XL engine, so nobody with a brain is going to buy a duplicate.

Also, way to bring in the real life argument here. I thought games were supposed to be about fun, not work. Silly me, I guess?

Drop ship mode was scrapped. It is not coming soonTM. Paul stated a few days ago that the system was gone entirely and that they were just folding its function into "lobbies", another soonTM feature.

Hmmmmm... I have multiple XL 300s, 4 in fact. I also have 2 XL 200s, 2 XL 250, a 225, and a few other miscellaneous XL engines. If it is just a few seconds then it really isn't worth an unlock, is it.

When I have extra cash I outfit my rigs so they are self sufficient. I hate swapping.
