Last night I decided to play a few rounds (about 10 matches) and noticed about 3 times that when I was killed and "spectated" a match I couldn't scroll throught the other players on my team. I also noticed no name but what really got me was that this player was playing a Stalker 5S had 2 x AC20's (22 rounds), 5 x Medium Lasers, 2 x LRM 15's, 2 x LRM 5's (600 Rounds), Large Laser, and a Anti-missle pod. I wouldn't have thought anything of it if they weren't so gready and mounted 2 AC20's but that's what caught my eye. I tried to take a screen shot of it but it only came up Black image (still can't figure out how to take one that shows up.) Other people in my unit also saw the guy so we do have his name but no proof. So my only option is to post this up and say "KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A OP STALKER 5S WITH 2XAC20's".

I think you are getting the bug where you are seeing multiple peoples loadouts.

There are some easy ways you can make screenshots.

If you use steam, Add MWO as a 'non-steam' game, launch MWO through steam, and you will have the steam overlay and screenshot capability.

You can also buy and run fraps. Its a lot more expensive now, but I've had a registered fraps for many years. It was worth the buy.

@OP:

alt-enter, then shift-print screen, paste the capture into paint or something.

I will try the Steam option as I had my guys saying alt-enter but I didn't hit shift print screen (didn't know about the shift button). Also it wasn't a screw up with the loadout as he did fire the dual AC20's and the rest of his weapons. Me not being a Stalker driver quickly went to see if I could even equip 2 AC20's to the 5S and it doesn't even have any balistics.

Interesting. All legit but the 2 Ac20's. Had thought that all Mech Build checks were done Server side.

How does that even get launched @ 30+ tons overweight? Gotta be a ride along Glitch...

I also tried to talk to him over the Team channel but he was busy destroying people and didn't respond. We thought he might be a dev or something but no response. It was on the new map so it may be a glitch but then he still fired the AC20's, so i don't know. I'm going to practice taking Screen shots so If I see him again to get him. He was good and on my team so we won lol.

If you hit alt+enter to run the game in windowed mode the screenshot button will work. Just hit alt+enter again when you're done. Third party programs like fraps also work.

I'm not saying cheating doesn't happen, but this was most likely a fairly common bug. I've seen it multiple times, and sometimes the list of weapons grows bigger each player I switch. I once had the right hand weapon list on a spectated Centurion literally so big I could read all of it. Of course, when I actually watched the guy fire, he didn't use any of the weapons listed, they didnt show cooldown, and it didn't change. The guy also died in about 30 seconds.

Most of the cheating that goes on in this game, I suspect, is of the variety that you would have to be VERY good to spot, since I would wager it is ESP hacks, and in an open environment like this game, you would have to have considerable experience adminning games to spot it. Most of the cries of hacks are either A - Bugs, or B - Lucky shots or surprise shots from cheese builds

Because no one would ever come on the internets and lie or be mistaken.

I hope your right (and probably right) as why I didn't release his name until I had further proof. I have just not heard of that bug until now.

Well your not alone this past month I have seen so many lets call them unbelievable incidences it is not funny. Here is one from last night me a jaeger S a hunchback and a raven 2X are on the new map we head to center by the ship wreck ring. We come around the corner and here is a little X5 cicada in the middle of the road so we start nailing him with weapons fire he turns and 1 shot kills the raven? I look around there are no other mechs present or in the area. So I keep firing this X5 must have taken 6+ alpha shots then I notice he never stops firing and never shuts down his medium lasers just keep on giving damage or they might have been medium pulse but there firing way to fast for even pulses. So he kills all 3 of us walks back down the road and as I die he is still yellow. Now I don't want to presume anything but we had at one time in MW4 a few hacks #1 was altered build saves where you could in fact double every part of the mech and even 10X the armors.#2 the heat hack it was one where you could fire forever and never overheat it altered the weapons heat output to 0 heat.#3 the speed hack. most were based off of a trainer developed by the devs to test everything in the game.It is still possible to hack or alter bits in resident memory to the server PGI so clean it up please. :D ;)

Send in a report to PGI support so they can investigate if the guy is hacking the game. If it was one game, maybe a Mechlab glitch, if he is using the same build over and over again, he will be banned and hopefully the loophole is fixed.
