For those of us that are newcomers or those of us that enjoy the PC Games without any substantial knowledge base of Battletech Lore, here is a simple list of Mechs and Tech (taken from Sarna and manually amended with some missing info) that is available in the era of Battletech History that we play today, complete with Sarna links:

Clan OmniMechs
Light Medium Heavy Assault Inner Sphere 'Mechs
Light 'Mechs Medium 'Mechs Heavy 'Mechs Assault 'Mechs Weapons Other Tech *Denotes Clan Only Technology at this point in the timeline.

**Denotes Inner Sphere Experimental Only

I'm sure that thare are some die-hard Battletech Loremasters out there that can point out some flaws, if you see anything that doesn't below, please let me know.

So it's true, they changed the release order of the Flea because of MASC and not finding a good way to implement it or the 200 kph speed yet.

So, Blackjack, Orion, Flea (Maybe? I wanted the Flea..), ?

Guess this means Spiders and Jenners will have to hold me over.
Screens!
Spoiler

All shots taken by Lordred of various Zhizhu Mercenary Corporation members.

Note, you should probably footnote that Axman may never see the light of day due to melee being limited to ramming and drop kicks. Otherwise we Yen Lo Wang users are missing our axes. Same with Hatchetman.

C3 is the VOIP software that is being put in place for MWO. While it won't be anything carried by a mech, the communication network that we will be able to use will be referred to as "C3".

It's been said the unseen won't make an appearance. If they do, they will be virtually unrecognizable due to legal reasons.

I know, hence the winking sad face. That's just me, expressing my sadness, despite the fact that I know we can't have them.

Hi Syllogy,

You've missed one of my favs... http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Devastator
It doesn't have enough variants, but neither does the Thug (another one of my favs).

Hardened armor is apparently available at this time, although in prototype:

As well as the binary laser cannon, which according to Sarna, "With the re-introduction of double heat sinks, the Blazer cannon is now a viable weapon":

Long Toms take up 30 crit slots, so it is doubtful that we will see them. That's why I didn't include it.

EDIT: Apparently there are 2 versions of the Long Tom. I added the Mech-Mountable version.

Good news is: PGI has been really good at creating much more unique appearances for their mechs. Should players be willing to accept the change in style which will greatly change the appearance of the Unseen mechs, it is quite possible we will see them. Of those mechs, however, I believe the Marauder would be the most unlikely, unless we're willing to accept that the overhead turret can not be used to pivot and that the sleek anime-style shape would likely receive an overhaul to better fit the current MWO meta of more realistic, blocky mechs. On the opposing side of things; Mechwarrior Tactics' concentration on more classic-style, sleeker shapes mean that the Marauder will never see the light of day on PGI's digital version of the board game.

Mechs in question.

The video of the MW5 trailer reminds me... One thing that would severely change how boating works is recoil. The weapons seriously need it.

So, you literally mean just VOIP (and C3 is just the name of the VOIP being used)?

This is going to be confusing...

Marauder (as seen an animation by Frogjedi4 )

This is based on the original models and replicates them exactly. As this was stolen from the Japanese TV series Robotech (Macross), it will require a complete overhaul to make it very distinct compared to the original. It is very likely it will completely lose its sleek look in favor of something blockier, especially in regards to the arms which may require a very different shape.

We pretty much already know what the arms and legs of a Marauder would look like should they ever decide to put it in game. Remember that we already have the Cataphract, and that's basically a Frankenmech reusing those parts from the Marauder. Of course that still leaves us with the question of what the torso would look like, but at least we can infer a general idea.

Part of the reason that I didn't want to do that is because as far as I can tell, the Clans all have their own versions of IS technology, and then they have more variety of some of those weapons as well (LB10X vs. LB20X) The links posted describe both versions that are shared by IS and Clans.

However, if there are some Weapons Systems that are Inner Sphere only, I don't have a problem denoting those appropriately.
