I sent Gamespot to the Razer booth, Piranha wasn't around.

I sent a Gamespot representative there personally myself.
No one from Piranha Games was available to speak with them.

Razer said they were here a few hours yesterday.

I'll post the Gamespot video when it's updated later, with no actual company representatives around to speak to press about their game...

Why show the game, have MWO closed beta on the screens, when no one there to speak with.
I understand the partnerships at the show are the real goal, but you need a rep with the game on screen.
Razer sure isn't supporting the game from the 3 Gamespot interviews that I have seen in the Razer booth on the MWO controller, but no MWO coverage at all.

Edit here's some video:

It starts with him talking to me, saying "Here is MW:O that you've been asking for...

Then he gets the 2 minute controller spiel (I spared you), asks again to see the game, he is told Piranha "Left":

You'd think they would have that manned for the entire show.

Seriously... pick some fans from near by, and inform them... I'd take time off of work to man their damn booth if they gave me access to the info so I could answer the questions (and play the game)... or just man the booth yourselves like everybody else!

You'd think, especially considering the only news on MWO from the show is a controller...

I actually had the Razer rep actually complaining that Gamespot was there again, Gamespot reminded him, but you guys are in business to show off products right?
Almost comedic, almost.

I can only hope they were doing something far more important at the show, getting talent for the game, sitting with Gabe discussing STEAM distribution or something...

Yea same happened yesterday. I was there for about an hour and Russ and Bryan were gone. The Razer guys didn't know where they were. I'm sure they wre busy with other stuff but definitely someone there at all times. I actually wanted to talk to them about how they were going to distribute their paid content

PGI takes a look at the "Who wants the Artemis controller" poll, says "to hell with this", leaves razer booth hanging.

PGI Prepares for something else later this week...

No disrespect, I'm desiring a little more from E3 than a single MW fan's take on some playtime.
I wanted to see it with my own eyes, instead I get to see just a still frozen closed beta display screen.
Now I have comedy reel instead.

Nice what you did though.

I've always been confused how Razer continues to survive as a company. I've never been impressed with their overpriced products, and most people I know who have used them often won't buy another from them when their first mouse/joystick/etc wears out.

I've gotten a lot of good use out of my Diamondback mouse - but that is the only Razer product I've owned.

Well this is a little worrying :P

Especially since I'm trying to leverage social networking sites as much as possible to get people to check out the game...

Well, yeah, I tried to quell things in the Quiet E3 thread, no crickets chirping kind of quiet.
Then a solution presented itself, I told folks to watch the Gamespot live feed, only to be thwarted.

I don't mean any disrespect to anyone from Piranha and I'm not bashing them, this is just unexpected to me that someone wasn't manning the ship.

I felt like I was actually more interested in Gamespot seeing it the last two days than they were, that is what kind of bugged me.
I know it's not true, it just felt that way.
I know the game just isn't far enough along to do a big expose', but it is at the show.

EDIT: VIDEOS ADDED AT TOP

That booth belongs to Razor and is their marketing tool to expose the Artemis. Bryan and Russ are doing what normally goes on at E3, behind closed door interviews and meetings with partners and media. The show floor is about 1/2 of what really goes on at E3.

For sure. Not a knock on them at all. I'm sure they were rallying support where ever they were at which is always great. The guy there ALT-ENTERing while you're at the computer was kinda of disrespectful tho. I'm sure we can do that ourselves without him getting all up into our personal space.

One thing I don't quite understand Paul and maybe you could clear it up for us; what up with the behind closed doors stuff still? I mean you guys are about to cut this game loose on the world...I would think you would be shouting about to anyone who would listen and be a lot more open about it?

Stephanie Schopp tweeted a bit about MWO and how she was watching PCGamers Evan Lahti play the game. She mentioned to expect a preview in the next issue.

Cheers.

Definitely backing up what Paul said, from my experience in other industries, the vast majority of the important stuff at trade shows is not what happens on the floor. If anything, that is arguably the least important part.

Maybe their spending all their time on the product.

E3 is a specific regional event when you compare it to the global fan base. Let's not over cook the significance of them not allocating resources to this one event.
