Play ONE match in the trial spider and post up a screen here please!

No cheating.

No mateups pls.

No mates, just PUG!

Lets show what you got!

EDIT: To answer the question many ask what the reason for this thread. Yes, it is the trial mech (and ofc the gun of a challange).

Image you install the game.

Pick a trial spider.

The rest is history.

It did not overheat, ofc that impossible trough the armament.

I get NOTHING for cap, no money, no xp, my income was crappy. I can't say if the flamer actually worked as overheating tool. HKB did overheat, CENT not.

Played a match yesterday in the trial 'phract on a new account, I was giving someone an introduction of the game so maybe he'd start playing himself. Score was around 29, damage was about 120. We lost. I also had some players on my team that definitely shouldn't have been grouped with newbs.
I did manage to coach the other guy to victory once in the trial spider, by having him play conquest and doing nothing but capping. He ended up as the only survivor.
We were playing on one PC so no grouping up unfortunately.
I think giving new players nothing but awful trial mechs is just going to drive them away. We need more champion mechs.

I'm definitely no high elo/elite player, but thought I'd give it a go anyway.

When a Raven 3L showed up my Jenner buddy abandoned me & I just couldn't shake him, lasted all of 1:20. I'm not sure the flamer did anything =P

So I just did a match with the trial spider... I got River City Night, assault mode.

We started on the lower side and the first minutes I made it to fool a Raven 3L and a Cataphract in the lower city, they even didn't manage to hit me once^^
:) JJs

Then I wanted to support my team mates... I spotted a fight in upper city where a enemy Centurion already had a open leg with yellow internals.
So I tried to finish him off by shooting on his legs, but before I even could manage to shoot off his damaged lag, a AC 20 shot from an Atlas ripped off my leg and some seconds later I was gone.

At the result screen I saw, that there was another trial spider in my team that didn't do any better than me.

Even in a stockmech-only game mode this spider would have been somewhat usefull... and only if the flamer wasn't so useless :/

By no means high elo, and I am simply bad at lights.

City Night Assault. Initially I just ran in and made a nuisance of myself, tagging people for xp. Had a full blown mouth breather on our side back shooting a few of us before combat, which was offset by a dc on the other team.

Big fight in upper city, notable for their being a cicada and another light, all 3 of us with flamers. Between the 3 of us we killed a CTX, CNT and HGN by sitting on them full flamers on, blinding them, and dissecting them with lasers.

Amusing troll match, but a single ML is just useless.

Its simple hierarchy based on experience. The smaller male lion doesn't ask the bigger one whats his elo so he knows if he can take the first bite of their prey, and if he does the other one will be sure to let him know.

Except that here nobody knows which lion is really the Alpha male, it`s all based on pure assumption. Ironically , those that do care all seem to assume that they themselves are the Alpha male... I highly doubt that that is coincidental. :)

You have to play a lot and get to know people. Something that won't happen if you spend most of your time trolling here.

Same with getting better.

Probably not coincidental, lol.

My ELO is too low, so, I apologize for not going on a suicide tour driving a trial Spider.

I love threads like this, but at the same time I just can't bring myself to post a pic yet until they fix the netcode and hit registration.

The extra 10 damage I'll get from connected shots that didn't register is serious business!!!

I actually agree with most of that, though I can`t help but sense that there was an undertone directed at me in the post, I could be mistaken as a result of all teh Elitist BS taht has been posted this weekend by others....

Nonetheless, if so, I`m sorry that I have a very fulfilling real life that many here and in other places probably wish they could lead. NOT!

However, "getting to know people" I disagree with entirely. Names mean nothing, conduct and performance mean everything. I don`t play games to make friends, I play to have fun, and if possible win /kill someone doing it. If i did play games to make friends, the Internet is the last place I would start, a local basketball court the first. Friends are at best a side benefit of online gaming, and I generally do not regard people I know exclusively from Online contact as any more real than the game that I made them in, with a few exceptions. A purely "virtual" friend has no influence on reality.

Which is why I find most of the people laughable that boast about how many "friends" they have, posting online statistics as "proof", but spend 90% of their life without actual human interaction. It breeds elitism, egotism, and an perception of truth that has no bearing on reality and is generally entirely detrimental to real social interaction, and thereby the human race as a whole. "The internet is just one big LAN-Party" is something I still hear often... ehm, no, it isn`t, and it`s not even close to being the same experience. The only people that can say this with a straight face are the ones that have never been to an actual LAN-Party.

But all of that says what about my ingame performance? Correct, exactly nothing, and a whole lot of it. :)
