Is this what we, the community, desire out of PPCs?
Yes, or no?
This is a serious thread, please give this serious thought; if someone put up a 10 minute post to read, consider taking 10 mins to watch this video and consider what I'm really asking us all.

Anyways, what are you asking. Does the community want convergence-related things for alpha firing?

Then came some good news for the PPC, with its heat reduction and whatnot. People started fielding it more often, and we saw a bit more proliferation of people using the weapon amongst the general populace. The Stalker became one of the primary PPC wielders, despite the Awesome being the original role for boating the weapons. Cataphracts eventually followed suit as another suitable ppc boat, and also some other mechs as well.
Following that, the Highlanders came. PPCs and Gauss rifles quickly became the rage all of a sudden, and poptarting - which the phracts used from time to time early on - were suddenly seen everywhere with the introduction of the Highlanders.
Now, ppcs are everywhere - and personally, I don't like where it is going. Convergence, alpha strikes, none of that matters much for me. But the problem of so many mechs fielding it on the field nowadays, something needs to be done about it.

The way I see it, a mech should melt when heat lvls are exceded by a lot. Some buidls should be damaged when boating and shooting the seccond time.
Or... it should affect engine durability because they should be "power hungry".
Also... a system that makes them more fragile as they gain HEAT would be realistic and fair.

Basically returning it to the MW4 PPC. A fast beam, instead of a straight up projectile with the added features that made it unique in those games: a little bit of heat transfer + messing hud display.
And of course, the idea's about dynamic convergence with alpha-striking.

No i don't want this from MWO where 1 weapon to dominates all battles due to top pilots identifying a weapon system overpowered in comparison to the others and thus are forced to exploit it to stay on top. Whilst the rest of the community tries to emulate the results (few to success, how many games have u dropped with 110 damage in a stalker).
