The Mech is known as the Patron
.
It has many shortcomings, but could perform a Re-Amm task and may be useful especially when the missions get longer.

Just curious - longer matches without resupply will force people to use more balanced loadouts - no need for a crutch-mech. Also, dropship mode should mitigate some of the long term ammo concerns. The mech above worked in concert with transport vehicles to bring the supplies, and it slowly worked to load missiles, etc. into a mech. With the maps as small as they are, I can't see it working in a realistic way. Loading missiles/AC ammo into a mech would be time consuming, so you either have to have longer (much longer) matches where it takes 15-30 minutes just to reload, or you have an arcade style instant refill station.
I'm genuinely curious - really, why do you want this, and how do you envision it being used without a) turning the game into more of an arcade game with "ammo stations", and spending tons of time waiting for reloads to happen?

Yea but were does the Patron fit into this?
At the moment He or She doesn't, that's why I included the third option in the Poll. The maps need to be even bigger, maybe four times the size of Tourmaline or Alpine and mission times need to be 30 minutes or more to make a Patron and associated Ammo Convoy practical. You are absolutely right about reload times, the last thing we want to do is make MWO an Arcade style game, it has the potential to be so much more than that. What I have done here is to give those that have asked for Ammunition Resupply in the past a voice and a lifeline. The breakthrough came with the discovery that the Patron existed; it took away the main obstacle which normally raises its head, the "Its not Cannon therefore it can't be in the game" thing.
Will we ever see the Patron?
Looking at the Poll results so far, probably not, although I would be willing to do my bit for the lance and re-supply the Depth Fire Catapults if the chance presented itself. I believe that given time MWO or a spinoff from it will start to incorporate logistics and support, we just need to start somewhere so why not with a patron on a 12 person lance and a small ammo dump located somewhere on the map. The associated mission goals and possibly bonuses would go like this:
1. Recon or Scout the Ammo Dump. 2 GXP
2. Escort Patron to Ammo Dump. 2 GXP if Patron Survives + Escort Bonus of 5 C-Bills.
3. Carry out successful Re-Supply (Any percentage above 10%). 5 GXP + 10 C-Bills per 10% fitted.

i see R&R as being part of CW or some sort of single player campaign at some point.
this sort of mech make sense in more detained simulation games and me and my friends would like playing but is simply doesn't suit the community at large.
