Hows the Patcher working? Any major difficulties? Please let us know!

- Transition to .NET 4.0 (XP users can download and install .NET 4.0 here)
- The Repair Tool can be used to resolve most issues with installation or patching.

For those having issues with the installer, please contact us at support@mwomercs.com for additional assistance.

Hi,

I don't know if your patch download processes have changed but this patch is downloading extremely slowly compared to every other patch I have downloaded since closed beta (EXCEPT the test client download patch which was similarly extremely slow).

I received the following pop-up box:

There was an error while connecting:
The operation has timed out.
Would you like to retry?

Retry starts the download process again but it is still crawling. The patch is shown as only 115Mb which should download in minutes on my connection, not hours.

I would normally ascribe this issue to overloaded download servers but the only times I have experienced this issue are on the current patch and downloading the test client patch on July 18th. I am wondering if there has been some change in your patch download process that is broken, at least for me.

P.S.My apologies for starting a separate thread before I noticed this one.

I am having the exact same problem. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game and it still gets stuck on "Please Wait" after clicking the "Play" button.

I have also tried using the repair tool and it did nothing to resolve the issue.

PLEASE HELP! I'm having withdrawals!

I log in, after about a minute, my mech finally appear, but when I go to the mech bay the window where the mech should be is a series of green grey red spheres if I switch to trial mechs or click the load out button game crashes, currently reinstalling game seeing if that works video card drivers are up to date as a new nvidia one arrived just before the down time ended.

will see if this works, but had a similar issue with the test server, up until then found patching flawless nows its a pain in the rear

I was also experiencing this issue, I am currently in the middle of an incredibly slow re install to see if that fixes the problem.

[UPDATE] Reinstall complete, still stuck on "please wait." Repair tool ineffective.

I have something very similar to you Ngamok. I hit play and then I get a window that says the program stop working. The patcher just says please wait on it. repair tool, reinstall, repair tool again. nothing works.

If you haven't or have ran the repair tool please make sure in the options you have selected 'Two-way consolidation'

The repair tool can be found here. If you have made changes to your system.cfg this could be the cause of you not being able to start up.

Have had a couple friends go through the entire uninstall > fresh install > (sticks on "please wait") > run repair tool > bang head on desk routine a few times now with now luck. The affected users seem to be on systems using AMD Zambezi and Phenom Processors, I can rule out the Vishera, as that is what I currently use.

Please find a fix and lets get these folks back into the game, playing without my group is NOT fun.

"Root element is missing RSS" randomly pops up as well.

and yes, the repair tool needs to be in the same folder as your .EXE

Same here. After the patch the game won't launch. If I Click Play in the patcher, the patcher minimizes and Windows pops up that MWO is not running.
Neither the repair tool nor reinstall improved the situation.
