Yes, development for this game has been slower than we hoped. In addition to the three reasons above, they are working with a new game engine. They have discovered issues every step of the way, and are trying to fix them. This delays development of new stuff until the fixes can be incorporated.
The Project Phoenix 'Mechs were sold as a package because we were not expecting to be able to have them in the game at all due to legal issues surrounding their use.
Founders like me know exactly how slowly stuff is coming out -- I've been playing this game for over a year longer than you. Highlighting how slowly it's going won't make development go any faster. Perhaps you should send this to the Support E-mail address and see what they say about it.
The best advice I can give you: have patience. New content will come. Not on the time line you want, but it will come.

I think anyone having followed MWO since closed beta is aware that some mysterious problem has hit the development. And the most we can do about it is waiting for better progress and let them know that there's still untapped profit potential out there, should they manage to turn this around.
please spend 5 minutes verifying the GT output next time

PGI should think about "something`s gone wrong" a long time ago. Can I hope my son (he`s 2,5 now) could play the real release version?

The fact is, this community has literally thrown money at PGI to get things done for this game. Regardless of what PGI/IGP have in fact done with that money subsequently, they haven't gotten the things that actually matter at this point done, and they don't really have a leg to stand on.

HOWEVER, their development cycle seems to be rather slow. It makes me wonder if there is actually a reason for this which they cannot share with us at the time. Perhaps they are working on something bigger than we thought.
THAT BEING SAID, I must once again point out that this game is NOT NEARLY AS BAD AS SOME PEOPLE SAY IT IS.
