But it is so hard to see. Maybe they could make it dynamic? Shattering, getting dirty based on smoke and things? Maybe even have windshield wipers for 1000 (or no )?
Honestly, I'll just re-adapt to it

I really do.
Woo!
Edit: One thing I would change though... is put the texture on the outside side of the glass, not the inside, (pic below) and change what circumstances illuminate the cockpit glass. When looking at a light source,, the cockpit glass/dust/scratches should be illuminated, and when your back is to the light source/in a shadow, the cockpit glass should not be visible. Currently it's the opposite - When your back is to a light source, your cockpit is illuminated (why? because the cockpits aren't actually sealed off in the back.), and it should work the opposite.
- Flipping the texture to react to frontal illumination rather than from behind seems more realistic to me.
- Changing the dusty/scratched glass texture to the outside seems more realistic to me. (see below pic for example)

Eh, it's not like it's a waste of much resources; making a glass texture with an alpha channel and slapping it on some polygons in Max is like ten man-minutes worth of work. Fifteen tops if you have to google what an alpha channel is first.

Yes, I understand you're frustrated with the lack of progress on stuff that matters or involves work, we all are! But what you've got to understand is that Paul accidentally lost the thumb drive containing MWO's source code behind the office snack fridge early last year and nobody who works there is strong enough to drag the fridge away from the wall so they can retrieve the thumb drive, so development is pretty much bottlenecked at the "drink a lot of protein shakes and do squats until we get strong enough to move the fridge" stage for now. It sucks, I agree, but refrigerators are very heavy and complaining about it isn't going to change that.

2. This cockpit glass thing has been talked up or while suggesting to me that it took some time to get right.
3. I get that different IT people have different talent. That said, I'm sure there were programmers, QA people and others that were involved to integrate this into game code.
4. Telling me someone is working on something is not the same a seeing results. Its been half a year and more that some of these features were supposed to be worked on. Heck, CW was promised in the beginning and its still nothing more than a vaporware promise at this point. Don't forget that this game has been in development for a few years now. Its not like this all started a few months ago.
