With the announcement and release of the Banshee it's pretty reasonable to assume that mechs are released with a certain cycle in mind and that we should be getting a new heavy mech for the month of April.

So what are you expecting or hoping for?

I know it's a quick jump to already be talking about whats coming next but assaults aren't really my thing so I'm not interested in the Banshee.

Speculate away!

now we have Banshee, does the CTF-3D(C) count as the second mech or is that for only new releases?

Probably a 70 or 75 tonner, since we've got 3 65s and 2 60s.

Options:

70 tons:
Guillotine
Grasshopper

75 tons:
Black Knight (not sure on the variants)
Flashman (looks like an Urbie, might not have enough variants in time)

I'm leaning more towards a 70 tonner.

Grasshopper. Only thing that makes sense. Or an early April Urbie....

A little bird told me we're getting a 45 tonner. Likely a vindicator.

Grasshopper or Black Knight seem most likely to me for April.

Vindicator or Clint for May.

Panther or Javelin for June.

Mauler for July.

Wouldn't that skip the heavy mech weight class in the release cycle?

Don't get me wrong though, I'm all for more medium mechs and at this point the possibility of getting another 40-45 tonner to fill out the bottom end of the class is what makes most sense. Cicada and Blackjack are alright but the Cicada plays (mostly) like a light mech and I really don't like the Blackjack.

It will never be the Archer, alas, it is an Unseen... and one of the contentious 12 macross designs.

Was hoping for Hoplite or Dervish my self, but a Vindicator would be decent as well.

My honest bet is on a heavy mech. But PGI did somewhat confirm a medium would be down the pipe. My guess?

Heavy: 70 Ton Guillotine

Medium: 45 Ton Vindicator

We could really use something like Urbanmech tbh, though for some reason I'm figuring it will be a heavy of some sort as we have technically had 2 mediums a light and an assault in the last 2 months.
