I think there flag ship release for this period was supposed to be 3/3/3/3 , so much for that.

I want to see a only city map too. That would be nice. But that is too much asset effort. Make some simpler maps first.

Todays patch is basically getting back to where they were before the 29th.

As is the case with our patch schedule, with the last patch being mostly directed towards new content, the following patch is primarily directed to get more bug fixes and polish in. We have some matchmaking fixes coming out of the works (the biggest name on the list being the 12vPUG occurrences.)
Those thirsty for something brand new may be pleased to hear our new Hero Mech of the month will be coming out.

If someone asked already I don't know.
But what new content did you release in the last patch?
I didn't see any new game mode, nor any new maps. I saw a balance pass that you quickly removed the same day it was implemented (3/3/3/3).

While fan-content in any form is not an impossibility...
I think I speak for a great many players when I say that we would love the ability to play on user-generated maps. 3rd-party ranking sites would easily weed out the good from the bad, just as they have done for many games.
We have maps like Alpine and Terra Therma that get a huge amount of flak and hate. We also have maps like River City that were obviously not designed for some modes (Assault) and also generally irritate people. More maps = better, even if they are bad maps.
"Whoa, new map. Uh, this map kinda sucks. I wish they would add a tunnel in C3." is sure a lot more enjoyable than "Gee, this map again. Just like the last 3 battles. Maybe this time I can push someone into the lava."

Well the Cry engine STK if free and you could build maps and submit them, a simple map like Monkeystador wants could be knocked out in a couple of days a little longer if you make the trees so that they can be knocked down. What would be nice is have them available in privet matches for testing that way if the map sucks the whole community isn't up in arms about it.

You are speaking for many players, and the creativity in player-generated content is what keeps games alive. Look at Minecraft, for crying out loud. I wish PGI would realize this and stop being so dead-set on having absolute control over everything. There's no reason we couldn't have player created maps that are approved by PGI. Neverwinter Online is an especially great example of this process working well to keep players interested. See my signature for my full argument on this very issue.

While I agree player created maps would be cool, and Neverwinter Nights is a great example. The game has to be built from the ground up to allow that kind of thing. I don't know enough about this engine to weigh in, but they have said that it is harder to build a good map on this engine than we realize. It WOULD be nice if they allowed players to submit maps, especially maps similar to playtested ones from MW games in the past and increase the turn over time on these maps. My only request is no more furnaces like Terra Therma. Screw that place and its lava.

and the one thing that makes money is always the priority. So mechs you can sell, maps not so much.
