UI 2.0 has been a complete failure. The original feedback thread ran 50+ http://mwomercs.com/.../page__st__1080 with basically the same stuff repeated over and over, yet PGI either chose not to see, or is incompetent enough to not fix it.

[Redacted]

PS.
I've waited long enough to see another MW title. I want to happily pay my money and play. I want to buy the clan pack and drive my madcat in to battle. But PGI is preventing this from happening. Their incompetency is so glaring that it makes my eyes bleed.

If they know but do not act to change it or even make any promises, I think it's time to just leave this game. I'd like more people to do this with me so PGI could learn that they cannot just take player's money without delivering something good. The alternative should be a refund.

I guess you've never returned an Apple product because it's faulty or never requested a refund on the App Store because the app you bought is garbage? MWO is no gas. PGI is no gas company. Please act so you know they could improve, or at least protect yourself in this case.

Good to hear that. I'm more than happy to see actual changes than doing this on the forum. Without hearing any official details though, the pitchfork stands.

Neg. Pitch forks must remain at the ready until we see what these "UI fixes" actually are. If they end up being crap then we'll still have our pitch forks close at hand :)

Well there's no reason to return a product that has an occasional bug every now and then.

I'm betting Windows has crashed on you on more than a few occasions. Have you returned Windows?

I might experience a loadout bug while customizing a mech every few weeks or so, and my friends list takes a little too long to refresh sometimes. Other than that, I haven't experienced anything game-breaking enough to join the pitch fork crowd.

As stated in the title, the game breaking stuffi s the UI. If you do not feel the same way I feel about the UI, fine. But my sentiment is apparently not alone. There are 50+ pages of complaint about the UI in that URL I provided, let along other posts about UI 2.0 that sank to the bottom of the forum. UI 2.0 is the problem. They absolutely have to fix it.

Well, some of us are not simply happy with a [barely] functional product that is thoroughly and profoundly mediocre-or worse-in almost every way. Just because it doesn't crash/glitch out constantly anymore does not make it acceptable.

I wanted to say that reading this made me a little {redacted}, but then I figured that was inappropriate for the forums, so ill just stick with.. ..yay?

Actually, this has given me an idea for an item for PGI to sell. Developer Vodoo Dolls, hang them in your cockpit! Collect them all!

Can you guess which would be the most 'popular?'

This is too far. Saying they are incompetent or unworthy of this task is one thing; merchandising bad things happening to them to raise more money is another.

See sig

Heres the thing...the UI in MW2 functioned better and was more streamlined than what we have in MWO. Think about that for a moment.

This UI mess ranges from mildly inconvenient to barely playable, depending on the player. I'm on the barely playable end, together with lots of other people. If you find it ONLY mildly inconvenient, good for you, but it has stopped me from playing completely.

it's the exact same UI for every player.

the only thing that depends on the player is the amount of whine.

While it is the exact same UI - it may still perform differently for different people.

An example (if potentially a bad one)
My first PC that had Vista on it - ran beautifully.
All the problems that helped give Vista it's bad rep?

Never touched me.

Second PC that had Vista?
I well understood why people hated it.

Same stats on both PCs (first one got mauled moving)
Same maker, same model.

Potentially better explanation:
Currently, me and my father both use the same model PC.
When I went to replace that last one (using windows7 now :)) my dad went with me, and bought the same base model on the assumption of that what worked for me would work for him. (payed a lot more than he needed to, since all he needed was one to run his finances on, but that is life sometimes :))

First thing we did was try to install Firefox.

His will not run Firefox - crashed when we tried to install it.
Mine runs Firefox fine.

Exact same model - all the parts are were the same. (upgraded mine some since then)

There are some people with "oversized monitors" who, when placed into full window mode, end up having super small font sizes. That is about the most "game breaking" issue I have heard of with the UI. The rest is really just "annoying". (Solution to the small font issue: Don't place it in full screen mode for UI? Not sure here.)
