I Am Not Going To Roll Over And Die Just Because You Wanna Play Your Mech.

When you complain about how much of an a**hole I am for keeping your from your mec, you are just making me try all the harder to survive. When you threaten to have me banned for hiding in a caldera until the pristine direwolf trundles off so I can go back to hunting the damaged catapult behind it-- i say go for it!
Perhaps if you learned that charging headlong into the enemy isn't the way to victory and that strategy led to your 2 minute life-span you would not have to rage about 'wasting your time'.

I remember back in closed beta, not only was it common for this to happen, players in fact encouraged it and laughed their asses off at power off and assassinate techniques.
Enemy walks by. Power off while a smoking ruin, look dead (as half the dead mechs are still standing). Pass the "shoot test," wait for them to carry on. Power on in your Raven 4X. AC/20 to the torso then Drop kick a Hunchback and assassinate him with another AC/20. Step back into your spot, power back off when his teammate turns around. Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait for ....NOW! Power back up, bam AC/20 power back down. Guy whipped around...looks around.... can't find you even though you're right in front of him...
Power back up. AC/20. DROP KICK! AC/20! "GOTCHA!"
Win.
Profit.
Raven 4X is best Raven.
Then repair and rearm went away. Raven 4X became mediocre garbage, everyone went Raven 3-L. Then ECM made it worse...
Sigh.
I miss closed beta.

Made all the better when we proceeded to win the match.

That always cracks me up. About every fourth match, I wind up with a teammate who tries to manage everything, gets killed with only a tiny little score to his name, and then proceeds to bash the rest of us even up to where it's 4v1 in our favor at the end of a match. Then they rage quit when we win.
Some Pugs...

You took advantage of the enemy team's distraction while they were shooting him, though, right?
Seriously, I'll own it if I get myself killed, but it drives me nuts when I draw off half the enemy team and nobody uses that time to do anything.

I escort my Assaults, i'm one of the first to charge and i'm usually one of the last few to die.
Plus i have multiples of the same one i use so if i die and don't feel like watching i'll just go to another match.
Bad and immature players will always be around has nothing to do with their mech's.

actually, in some cases, that IS your team's fault. leaving your Atlas to get picked off by lights is hardly a sound tactical decision

I've tried to get in the habit now when running my Kitfoxes of STAYING with the Assaults and Heavies, providing that ECM coverage while they do their thing... used to just run off and "scout"... I know I know... lol... but have had some great runs giving that ECM bubble and staying with the big boys...

It wouldn't have mattered he eventually died doing single digit damage. Following him and not capping would have been a guaranteed loss. Either they are overrated or puggers don't know how to use them. It is very rare when in a light or medium a pug atlas actually contributes more than me.

Then I walked out of bounds, extending the game 20 seconds later.

I am not sure which on is worst... That or seeing last guy alive a healthy ECM Raven run out of the map to kill himself instead of engaging the enemy.
