Join the club ... I have discovered that with a crash to log-in, the omicron log reflects the program closing, so I've been sending batches of saved omicrons after each session to support (the worst was probably 12 crashes-to-log-in over four hours).

Any time I get a crash to desktop, a new crashdump is created ... I hope my e-mail spam of these 13MB files is useful to someone.

this is a joke, I need 2 wins for the mechbay, iv had at least 5 wins but because of the lag and DC in game I didn't pick up the last wins I was booted from game before the end so hence I didn't get the win!!! what a stupid mechanic that is! this game just gets worse not better, I pray someone steps in and helps you guys to start listening to us instead of changing unbroken elements of the game.

I want every penny I have spent on this game refunded to myself and my son. This is a joke. I have spent way to much money to not be able to play at this stage of the game.

So you've played and enjoyed the game (Your son, too. Please don't ever let us forget about him) and only now when the game isn't working just perfectly, now you want a full refund? Look, the issue is annoying, sure, but it hardly warrants a reaction like that.

Sorry but I like to enjoy the products that I have paid for. My son owns part of the investment is why I added him in but if you wish I can stop.

Pardon me if I would like to buy into a game that I can play and be a contributor to my team instead of a detriment. Or do you enjoy it when your team loses because others desync constantly? lol

I guess we will have to keep dropping and desyncing because thats "fun".
Besides why is it a source of anxiety to you if myself or anyone else wants a refund due to not being able to stay connected?

I guess we will see you on the battlefield...for the few minutes each game we stay connected that is :)

Constantly? I see one incident a night on a bad night. Usually it's fine though. It's not exactly something that happens every match as you imply. And if it does to you, then the problem is probably with you, not PGI.

Usually fine? I posted a screen shot earlier today with FOUR zero pings on my side. Got removed.
Its constantly a problem. I see about 1 every other game, sometimes we get 2-3 in one match.
So, its not the end users problem.

You might be seeing 0 ping users because they're disconecting to abuse the win bonus in the weekend challenge. I just desynced in my last match and came back dead. Now, this has NEVER happend to me before and I was the only one, and hell, it may have been just ****** Comcast dropping my service for a second which happens frequently here. Just consider for a minute that just because you see something you don't have a solid reason for doesn't mean it's PGI's fault. There were a lot of people running into the enemy team and dying over the weekend. Is that's PGI's fault?

There are other variables. Just because you don't see immediate results does not mean they are not on the way. you can sit and raise your blood pressure over it all day, or you can drop in a few matches and enjoy what you can. Or play a different game.

My rigs play any other game just fine, from the battlefield line to the everquest line. My ping never goes over 90 ms at most in MWO, normally between 40 and 70. Yet I still desync every game unless I make a bad decision and die really early.
It is neither my rig nor my ISP. I have spoken with a few who have it as bad or worse than me. Maybe take the blinders off and you will see there are a lot of people being effected by the desyncs and everyone to varying degree's.

Your in game experience does not mean anything to my in game experience. If you look, I was never trying to push my experiences in game on anyone else or use my experiences as evidence countering anyone elses issues like you are.
My point is and always has been that paying money for a game that is now unplayable for me (yet we still try since it is a big money investment) is not acceptable. At no time were we told to buy mechs and clan packs now but you wont be able to actually have fun in them for weeks if not months.

i think that pgi has been making a good effort to fix the desync issue as well as make the mwo gaming experience a little better for the causal gamer with the last few events the free mechbay for 10 wins and 20 wins for 7 days of premium time, not going to mention the 50 wins because thats mainly for the hard core players (i am one of them :)) lol

the desync issue is a persistent problem for almost 3 weeks for me and even the previous problems like no friendly indicator exacerbates the problem even more which seems to acutely relate to that issue

depending on what you spent your MC on like premium time or mech bay or even mechs you can ask for a refund but unless you want to go to the extreme of getting your refund credited via credit card company they may ban your account permanently.

lets keep in good faith that the networking issue is a temporary issue. keep in mind that most of the posters here are also follow gamers

on the off chance if its your internet connection try resetting or power cycling your router/modem and try the game then

anyways hope that both you and your child have fun in the game.

Quick update on this matter I promised people on twitter. I can't add anything technically to the conversation but did want to let everyone know we are testing a change/possible fix right now internally. It will likely be impossible to know if this fix is successful until we put it into the live servers since there currently is no way to reliably reproduce the issue.

Therefore were staying conservative about the success of this change. As to ETA: it would take a small miracle to apply the fix this week but I will do my best to make miracles happen. Otherwise just "As soon as possible"

I found that most of my "Desync" happens when my ISP bandwidth plummets. Someone is downloading a movie on netflix, or watching too much.... youtube.... downloading lots of.... music... ahem.

I can't say it's the problem everytime, but i've definitely tracked it to that on several occasions.

I mean jsut because PGI says it's a big issue, hundreds of others are experiencing it quite regularly.

As long as YOU don't, that makes it ok so anyone who IS experiencing it should just suck it up right?

Can't stay connected through an entire match since the patch two weeks ago. I used to only get disconnected every second or third match before the "fix". I like this game, been playing since open beta, but WTF? I want some Clan mechs but won't drop any more money here until I can play an entire match without disconnecting. Hell, it's probably my fault running windoz 7 on a MacPro. What was I thinking... Anyhoo, if anyone cares, fix it and get my money, don't fix it and I'll move on.

Just wanted to weigh in. I get a disconnect about one in five matches. I enjoy playing light mechs, so this generally results in death due to my mech continuing in a straight path into open terrain or out of bounds. The behavior appeared 2-3 weeks ago.

I run a monitor in the background and do not see either a spike in lag or any evidence in packet loss. My Skype session continues to carry perfect audio during the DCs. I do not have this issue with any other games that I am currently playing online. I have three other gaming computers in the house...they have the exact same symptoms. It is not my ISP. It is not my firewall. It is not my rig.

I don't know if the fix is better traffic shaping, more metal, poorly written code, or shutting down a botnet. Honestly...I don't care. With weeks of data (particularly this past weekend with so many people shooting for 10, 20, or 50 wins), your team should know by now exactly where the issue is to be found.

You are in an unenviable position. Your game is f2p, so it attracts legions of entitled loudmouths that learned their manners from either Xbox Live or trolling forums. That said, it would be a great service to your playerbase (particularly those that choose to support your revenue stream), if you would simply state the issue. Transparency is your friend.

I realize that you cannot forgive losses as Riot has done with League of Legends when there are network issues, but I would really appreciate it if PGI would put their best foot forward and at least refund a few days of Premium Time to compensate for the weeks of DCs.
