There's no reliable way to beat the Clans really.
Exploiting honor worked at first but they caught up soon.
At range the Clans have advantage... but unfortunately this applies to close combat too, since some Clan weapon counterparts don't have minimum range, or have shorter min-range, or they they're just plan more powerful. And their extended range allows them to kill enemies before they get close. Physical combat works, if only because the Clans are not trained in it really, and many Omnimechs are ill-equipped for a brawl (no hands).
The IS doesn't have a mobility advantage either, the Clan mechs are typically more mobile than equivalent IS mech (eg, standard IS heavy moves 64kph, the standard Clan speed is 81kph).
EDIT Focus firing and ambushes work. But they don't work well in MWO for various reasons...

A few were upset about the test I guess railroading their night with matches that are unfair. A misjudgetment on my part I suppose, I thought everyone would love it. Perhaps most did.
Anyhow going to edit the original post and have the guys bring it down in 20 minutes.

This is a reduction from 90%
So actually I am pretty happy with seeing this change. Now we follow through on IS quirks and the Clan RT/LT changes.

Those times, when IS might have won, the clan side probably just consisted out of trial-newbs

The more talking coordination we IS did, the better our results.

Faction warfare is IS vs Clan so the win rate should be equal. The Clans have better tech, yes, as it should be. But the win rate is another matter.

Poor IS guys, i didnt touch one of my IS Mechs because i know it will be frustrtating.
PLS nerf Clans or buff IS, we need balance in a PvP game, one way or another but just balance it, dont care about TT.
In every PvP game i played there was a need for blance otherwise its just boring for one side and they leave, if you want clan versus clan only, then keep going this way, good luck.
And tihs has nothing to do with whining, i have IS and Clan Mechs and everyone who dont see that this is the wrong way for a PvP game have no clue about PvP.
You guys really want to be op in your clan mechs, this cant be fun just like LRM spamming?
