Well, cockpits are the smallest parts of a Mech. If cockpits were susceptible to Streaks, it should be at a reduced rate relative to Torsos, etc. I think they DO deserve special treatment, just not invulnerability.

So, make the probability of missile hits small, as long as it is not improbable.

Noted. But that's a separate if somewhat related issue.

I always felt that SSRMs should soft lock onto the targeted location and then corkscrew out into a cone to prevent pinpoint strikes.

Corkscrew SSRMs would be gorgeous.

I almost always aim for the face when firing missiles. It's just a pity I can never ever hit it.

SSRM18 weighs 9 tons.
Ice Ferret has 9 tons of pod space.
2 tons of ammo with a Streak 14.
As for unlocking, why not. It will likely hit an arm or ST on the way to the head anyway.

Well thats good to know. I figured it would have more. To reliant on smurfy which doesn't have the wave 2 mechs up yet.

I'd recommend Solaris Skunk Werks as a mech building solution for things not on Smurfy.
You'll have to unlock the chassis to max armour (or remove some from an arm/legs) but you'll get a good idea. You'll have to cross-reference with the hardpoints, though.

My 6x SSRM4 Angry Doggy sure has been massacring heaps of lights. The damage done by the first burst always makes me throw my head back in laughter.
How much more can they nerf them though? You already see GH after the 3rd launcher, and they have a 5 second cooldown. Plus there is no cooldown module for the Streak 4 or 6.
Can't wait to test an Ice Ferret with 2x Streak 4 and a couple lasers.
