First off I LOVE the Artwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait for my Skuld version Kingcrab. I love the knotwork, the Valkrye, the two tone overlay paint scheme, the Valknut, the gouged out left eye.... its all amazing! but that brings up the one thing that jars it for me considering all the work that into making this concept. Urdarbrunnr is the wrong well... Odin sacrificed his eye in Mimisbrunnr.

So maybe someone could explain to me why the mech with the gouged out left eye has Urdarbrunnr on the back that makes sense...? Cause you could put Urdarbrunnr on the back of the CN9-AH(C) and put Hvergelmir on the back of the King Crab to use all three wells for all 3 Norns (if the King Crab isn't Skuld I'll lose my mind that you left the norns incomplete.)

The Atlas S doesnt have the champion tag (C) even though it is. I assume that is what he wants.

OH! Okay! Right!

Yeah, PGI should fix that.

Uhh...no. Sounds like a discrepancy in the conversion from Norse lore to MWO. I wouldn't know as I'm a blatant layman at best when it comes to Norse lore, but it sounds like maybe the wrong name got slapped on the Atlas. Dunno. I'd have to go Wiki-diving to find out, and I can't be assed to do that right now.

Have you looked on the back of your new Atlas? That is what he is talking about.

No... the name on the back of the new AS7-S is from the wrong Well in Norse Mythology. The Mech has URDR on the left collar which is the name of 1 of the 3 Norns (the equivalent to the Greek Fates) who is the Past. The CN9-AH has VERDANDI on the arm which is the Present. I really hope that they keep the concept going so the King Crab will be the 3rd Norn Skuld who is the Future.

My issue and maybe it's only important to me, is that the name on the back is URDARBRUNNR (Well of Urdr) but the left eye is gouged out representing Odin. Odin sacrificed his Eye in Mimirbrunnr (Well of Mimir, who is an entirely different God.) So use all 3 Wells (Hvergelmir is the 3rd Well located in the roots of Yggdrasil which is the World Tree.) But put Mimirbrunnr on the back of the mech you have represented as Odin.

Two separate Wells, but both at the roots of the tree of Yggdrasil...

Norns Well of Fate/Well of Wisdom = Where Odin went to gain wisdom.
Hence the ONE EYE on the Atlas AS7-S.

Read the back or your New free Atlas AS7-S = UrdarBrunnr

ALSO: Notice the Angel/Valkyrie on the front of the Atlas AS7-s, if you read the FIRST link I think you will see the inspiration for the paint scheme.

EDIT: http://en.wikipedia....r%C3%B0arbrunnr

But I didn't feel the need to go after them (PGI) for it..

I'm surprised you didn't post on mine about this...

As an Asatru with a tattooed Mjölnir hung on my chest as well as runes and a Helm of Awe I rune bound myself... I understand that they are 2 different wells. My point is that it's the wrong Well to use if they are going to have it be the representation of Odin by gouging out the left eye. Like I said... it's all badass as **** and I'm super happy with the unique skin, just that one middling little point about how the Well is not significant like Mimirbrunnr especially considering that they used the Eye gouge as part of the artwork (which I am again very happy about)

http://en.m.wikipedi...%C3%ADmisbrunnr
He did go to the Well of Wisdom... Mimir Well not Fates Well. That's why he carried Mimirs head around with him after he cut it off (allegedly since they didn't say who did it) during the Aesir-Vanir War. Cause Mimir was the God of Wisdom & Odin ursuped that role when he merged the patheons. But he did it by keep Mimirs head to give him advice and wisdom.

Well the LEFT EYE on the "S" variant has a scar, so maybe it's a MERC salvaged MECH..
That would fit in with a salvage and rebuild.. (no rear firing streaks)

A. There are ZERO rear firing weapons on any mech in MWO
B. Can't have a Valknut, a Valkyre, the names of 2 Norns, the name of the Norns Well, and Knotwork and say that the gouged left eye has no meaning.... just stupid

Well Urd and Urdarbrunner being together makes plenty of sense, it is the gouged eye that throws things off. So maybe a better question is why only one eye on this atlas? Honestly I think they probably did just enough research (or distant remembering) to connect the well and the fact that Odin sacrificed his eye in A well and just failed to associate the propper well. People who hold a he old stories to be important are sadly few these days a mistake like this is easy. I'm just impressed they got the names right ish

They did... it's really just a nitpicking thing but since they got everything else beautifully executed... it really stood out to me. I'd probably never play these mech again after I got them mastered but with these skins I'm guessing that they are going to be in steady rotation just so I can be in them.

MFW I need to run Ah!My Goddess inspired builds on these.

As they are Urd, Belldandy, and Skuld.

Yeah that's why I said (no rear firing streaks) that the "S variant should have, and nothing in MWO has.

You know what... Stop sounding so ENRAGED..

I'm not "enraged".. I was just being dismissive of your asinine point you tried to make. The medium lasers of the D (& S) are already supposed to be rear firing. So even beyond the fact that the damage is very specific within the context of the skin, it's already been established in the very first mech on MWO that nothing is rear firing. The fact that a dude who is part of Odins Wolves found it necessary to "correct" me and linked me to an article about Urdarbrunner which is NOT the Well Odin sacrificed his Eye in, is merely mildly offensive to my Religious Beliefs & indicative of your lack of intellectual competence.

Back it up, and or slow your roll chief...

EDIT, it would be a real shame if you got so mad that you stroked out at your keyboard.
