This one is for Bishop Steiner. And also because I'm Steiner.
This is my hand at Bishop's (to my knowledge) mech of choice - the Fianchetto - with what I have available.
The loadout is Bishop's 2xSSRM2, 1xLRM15, 1xPPC, 2xMLas.
I may change it when I figure out how to reliably set in decals and repaint textures correctly.
I used Applejack, Crusader, Raider and Griffin Sparky material assets. (Extra points for checkers with lightning bolts?)
Sadly, the Phoenix addons don't have texture colors added so they look kinda bland.
Used 2 SSRM2 launchers from the Wolverine as per Bishop's original design and the back of the Wolvie with the jumpjet.

Oh, and ... "Fear the Endo-Steel".

Right, so - right side view, with Phoenix attachments.

Posted Image

Left side view, without Phoenix attachments. Bling!

Posted Image

And the back, hybrid Wolvie/Griffin jump pack.Posted Image

IMAGE HEAVY!

Massive thanks go to Heffay for the tutorials. Thanks also go out to all the people who have shared their knowledge and experience in the various threads who make it possible for people like me to have fun with models! I don't know much about 3D modelling but this is a fun start.

I'll be updating this topic as I learn new things and commit them to pixels.

This one is older, I didn't know how to improve shadows so the whole thing is covered in artefacts and fireflies.

Hah, I haven't done anything at all in 3 days.
The cicadas took maybe 40 minutes to put into Blender, rig up and paint up. It's mostly Heffay's work and some other guys from the various threads.

I think I'll do another FRR camo'd mech next. Maybe a Hunchie...
After that I think I'm gonna figure out how to make visible damage and recreate some iconic Battletech shots.
Maybe one including an Atlas and a Masakari...

Another one for FRR. A Hunchie with a camo inspired by the 2nd Rasalhague Freemen. Gave it torso lasers and moved the head laser so you can enjoy the best part about the Founders hunchie - the head geometry.

I think I'm gonna call this one "Sanic the Hunchhog".

I take Nautils' fat Awesome and raise you ... a slightly thinner Awesome with a dual-PPC arm and...

CAMO!

All of the secrets are now mine mwahahahah

while the camo basically looks like done well, I don't like it on the atlas, it is takign away the "awesome" feeling of the mechs shape. The awesome as a raw, gives you that "badass right over there" feeling. The camo somehow takes this effect off. That camo would probably look epic on a spider or commando. Or extremely fitting on an adder ^^

Your cicada and Griffinwolf look a lot better, the camo there doesn't breaks the mechs deisgn.

I'll try those but I actually think that the black on the edges actually accentuates the roughness you describe. Thanks for the input.

when i look at the awesome, after the shape and stuff my focus view keeps rather on the middle, bewteen the evil stare the cockpit has and the big PPC. so very much the center of the mech. Your camo made that area rather bright and "friendly" Especially with the bit of camo on the head of the aweosme. And so the evilness of the chassis seems to be gone. it more like a big guy now you wanna cuddle than run away from XD

Another Awesome shot, this time with an altered Arcturan Guards camo
I'm gonna be doing a few of these Lyran schemes for the next couple mechs, I think.

any chance of you stringing together an AWS-8Q with the PPCs in the torso, 2 Large lasers in the RA, and a MLaser in the RT, LT and H?
Spoiler

in some variant of this paint scheme?

Sure, I'll use the ERPPC barrels from the 9M, i think they look better. Working on a custom Thunderbolt atm, centered head :D How closely do you want it to match that paint?

general theme. Would prefer a more pearlescent effect, and the gold from Sparky, but will take what I can get, lol.

Custom Thunderbolt I'm currently working on.
Didn't want to show it 'till it was done but I like it so much I thought I should.
Had to figure out how to work vertices cause the head was actually part of the CT prop. PGI's design team was nice enough not to put a hole under the head ^^.
Got rid of the annoying pointy bits at the back that served no purpose other than being a hitbox and flipped the Phoenix wings over so they work as armor better. Lasers in both torsos.

Working on your Awesome atm.

Oh and...

Somebody found out how to apply decals to mechs~
I hope you're alright with me using your work for your mech, Bishop, lol
It's nice to see some good hand drawn artwork amidst a sea of blurry pixels...
