I like it. Damage is not high but it plays greatly in Alpine Peaks (did i ever say we need more big maps?!).

I have taken all the data here given by you guys and many thanks for the tips. I have found the Lynx to be better than my first impression gave me and actually had some fun with it in the PUG queue. Competitively I still think clan lights lack but whatever we will see if there will be perks coming the clan way or better lights down the pipeline.

No one said it was not fun, i enjoy driving this mech quite a bit, but i would never take it to a competitive match, unless we absolutely needed the extra tonnage elsewhere

Partly because it looks funny and partly because I know the damage is pathetic and the effort is a waste.

Strangely enough the Mist Lynx is my best performing mech of all time.

Here are just some examples including a poorly made video I added cause it was such a fun mech.

Footage is all from the same match and it just shows how effective a skirmisher the MLX is.

Scorcher OP.

That said it's a good mech in the hands of a good pilot. It's not an auto-win like the huggin where you can just hold a single key down all game, but it puts a lot more tools in the hands of a pilot who knows how to use em.

That is incredibly impressive and you are obviously a pro light pilot, but i find it very hard to believe you wouldn't have done even better in an IS light like a jenner or firestarter.

I have spent all my time mastering one clan mech after another and have not gone back to play any non mastered mech. Doing this let's me learn diversity and the more restricted the clan build, the more tenacious I tend to play.

I guess this has forced me to improve to reach the type of games that I play. Whether I can perform better in an IS light I honestly couldn't say as I never tried them properly before.

It's definitely not the easiest mech I've piloted, it could use a little more quirk love, but the biggest thing is just don't stop moving. Use the terrain, shoot and scoot, and get the enemy to move where YOU want them to.

Here is probably one of the most epic matches I've ever had with it. I know I'm not a pro, but I did what I could with the time I had left before server shutdown a few days ago.

But I will admit, piloting a FS9-A is cake compared to any clan light.

All those mechs were red cored and none of them were focus firing on you. Plus that map is made for the Mist lynx. That mech is terrrible. It needs reworked from pgi

Out of all the clan mechs to buy with money, the Lynx is the only one I have (It being one of my favorite mechs). Honestly, after many a match, I`ve found it to be fantastic if you don't play stupid. I use 2SRM4`s and 2ERML`s, and other than heat its a dream at taking out lrm boats, lights, and squishy cannons. Obviously its not a brawling light, which is meta, but its definitely a lot better when played as a proper light instead of as a meta light. It just lacks the armor to brawl and harass, you really got to use it to get behind enemy lines and reek havoc. Also its really tiny and fits into a lot of cracks to hide in. Just play smart, and the mech does the job it was intended for well.
