Attention ladies and gents!

We, the Steel Tiger Dragoons –STD- are a mercenary unit consisting of about 23 pilots of various skill and commitment levels, who have played together for almost two years now. Most of our players are located in Europe with a few US folks so we address English speaking European teams primarily here.

With Community Warfare now in its beta phase we want to put our emphasis into this, but lack the numbers to field enough players for 12 man drops regularly. Hence recruitment is slow and staggering we look for a joint venture with a larger active team. Our goal is to play CW effectively and build or reinforce a competitive team to play leagues like RHoD or MRBC once a week with scrimmages on the side. Since we are a friendly and stable community we want to keep our players together so we would like to be taken up as a whole, without leaving players behind.

Fun and friendly banter is an important factor for us while playing MWO (just look at our unit tag) so we do not see ourselves joining a very strictly military style commandeered unit. During competitive play we naturally stick to the job at hand though and adopt a more competitive approach when the time calls for it.

Therefore we are looking for a diverse unit with a broad spectrum of players who either already play leagues with some success or are interested to do so in the near future. With respect to Battletech lore we do not majorly favor any faction (or are rather highly divided in this decision) though an IS unit whether House affiliated or mercenary is preferred to the Clans.

Skye Rangers are always looking for new pilots and are not averse to absorbing a whole unit into our fold. We are a fairly large unit with around 350 members and quite often have 2 or 3 CW 12 mans going in prime time US. We also have a European regiment. We have teams that participate in Marik Civil War, RHoD, and MRBC. If you think we are the right fit for you then feel free to take a look

Never thought I'd see the Skye Rangers here.

This isn't a bad idea, actually. Zhizhu is currently at 24 members who play MWO and 34 active members total (the others lost interest in MWO and/or are still waiting for 'Balance').

Having tried CW (under the assumption that everything PGI said about limiting mech selection to lore-bound areas, i.e. K variants Kurita, D variants Davion, and so on where appropriate...) using Steiner and learned that access to fighting Clans is available to all (not just those bordering it), Zhizhu is going to be returning to Liao in a few days. Might not be looking to absorb or be absorbed, but I do believe in unifying forces... Oh, and right now Liao is paying double.

Honestly I think that PGI is screwing the little guy right now. Forcing 12 man drops to be only allowed by those of the same unit simply destroys smaller units. If you can't get 12 together you are short. Alliances and the ability to drop by faction would preserve unit histories, identities and make for a funner game.

Ah well, it is what it is and we must adapt to be successful. That is one thing we want to be, successful.

Wolf Spiders would definitely like to speak to you. We are in a similar boat, but on a slightly better scale. We also have an EU and NA division and have been around for 10+ years of battletech history. We also have a competitive team available for those willing to go all in.

By the way, I dont have any STDs but I did get a crab in my mech lab and I cant seem to get rid of it...

mm..i have thought about the forum too at first, and if it is the right place or no, but if you look at CW forum, there is no other better place to be, we are not affiliated with anyone, so we cant post it under any other subforum, and obvious we cant post it under archive. since it is CW related and the only reason for the topic...where would you place it better ?
