This has to be the most OP mech in the game, honestly.

PGI nerfed PPC/ERPPC velocity for a reason...then they buff the hell out of it on a mech AND reduce the heat?

No thank you...this mech needs the heat reduction removed. PPCs were a HUGE problem with FULL heat before the nerf. At this point...they are becoming a HUGE problem again.

Additionally...the clans have no recourse. At least if it was on even footing, then you could argue ERPPCs are equally OP for both sides...and it would be even.

Ultimately...this needs to change. It is one thing to drop in an Awesome and tie up 80 tons, but if you can bring a 65 ton mech that does it BETTER than the 80 ton mech, why would you?

The 9S T-bolt needs to be dialed WAY back.

I agree with everything you have said except for this:

As it stands, the tdr-9s is one of the only IS mechs that can fight at range with the clans and stand an even chance of winning. It does need toning down though. Perhaps if it was quirked the same as the awesome it would be better for balance.

As the most OP mech in the game it stops EVERYTHING. IS or Clans.

Also, did not see the other thread.

Was in really necessary to create a new topic, when the hottest topic in general discussion atm (27 pages since yesterday) is about the TDR?

Heat reduction needs to go. I could care less about velocity, but I just fought against inferior pilots in terms of skill, and saw ERPPCs flying from every angle in such a manner that it was IMPOSSIBLE to trade because they NEVER overheated...

Heat scale is the only way to limit DPS in this game, and if it is unlimited...then 20+10 damage will fly continually...there are already macros for it.

We're just doing what you guys do with 3xStormcrow+Timberwolf. Taking the very best mech to the detriment of every other chassis. Doesn't help the 9s was given as a reward for one of the weekend events.

That overwhelming fire from long range. That's how most IS feel fighting Clans across the board. Now we've got it in spades!

The Warhawk could keep up with a 65 ton innersphere mech...if only it could stop shutting down.

It should be renamed the Thunderstorm. That thing looks like an Alabama Storm cloud in August...I just love sitting back and watching those too.

Is the heat dissipation better on the Thunderbolt than the Awesome for the PPC's/ERPPC's? Or is it the same.

It is -30% heat.

You can actually run a 9S with less heat sinks for same efficiency versus Awesome 8Q.

As a matter of fact, you can run the SAME STD ENGINE in the 9S as the 8Q and have same/similar heat efficiency.

Considering the gap of 15 tons, that should NOT be the case.

I play IS, I play Thunderbolts (but I allready played them and did good in them withlut quirks), and I say "yes, nerf them into the ground"!

Really, **** the wannabe "competitive" crowd and their min/max bullshit. All they can do is use the **** out of broken mechanics and ruin the game and fun for everyone else. I mean PPCs got nerfed for a very good reason...and than this? Seriously?

No one enjoyed the sniping-hill humping-poptarting meta, except a minority that thinks the game should cater to them, because they are "competitive". Bull.****! No one cares about MWO tournaments, never will.

If you want to give IS something to go up against the holy trinity, there is no other way as to nerf this three chassis down. they are too good, they need some negative quirks. Trying to bring other mechs up to their levelonly leeds to such nonsense like the 9S.

No...-30% heat? + velocity buffs + range buffs?

The thing that bothers me most is the -30% heat. If you are spitting ERPPCs every few seconds and chain firing ad nauseum with no heat issues, there is a problem.

Especially when a clan mech that is 20 tons heavier loaded full of heatsinks cannot even try to keep up. Much less something else that is 20 tons less...

You get ERPPC range, no minimum range, and higher velocity for STD PPC heat.

Bear in mind that back when the clans were originally introduced, gyrok argued that the mad cat was not in fact over powered, and that mechs like the tbolt were comparable to it in utility.

Back when the clams were first introduced. And absolutely stomped everything.

So, yeah.

A 65 ton mech is a better PPC platform than the Awesome.

PGI's ineptitude knows no bounds.

The thing that bothers you the most is any IS mech being able of competing against clan mechs.

You are easily one of the most biased posters on this subject.
