Incoming Hot Fix 10:00 Am Pdt

Greetings MechWarriors,

We will be rolling out a hot-fix today, scheduled for release at 10:00 AM PDT (17:00 UTC), with the following changes:

  • Mech Collision Capsule Size and Movement Archetype are decoupled and all variants of the ‘Mechs below have had their minimum climb angle (the angle of hill at which the Mechs begin to lose speed) changed from their default Movement Archetype values:
    • Grasshopper, Victor, and Gargoyle, which have the Huge archetype, are now set to 25 degrees and so equivalent to the Large archetype (previous value was 20.) These Mechs should have an easier time going up hills.
    • King Crab, which has the Large archetype, is now set to 20 degrees, equivalent to the Huge archetype (previous value was 25.) This Mech should have a harder time going up hills.
  • FPS Improvement for Alpine Peaks (may affect other maps)
  • Missile locks have returned to their pre-March 17th patch behavior
  • Locking the Tertiary Color channel for the FRR Faction Pattern


The estimated downtime for this hot-fix is approximately 1 hour.

When services are restored you will be required to apply a small patch.

Any chance the issues for saving in mechlab / pilot skill purchases be resolved in the next major patch then?

I'm torn about the LURM Lock "fix"... I felt like it reduced the likelihood of lurm boating slightly (if players ever learned to use cover in the first place). Granted I was packing 20-30 LRMs on my Zeus builds so it was also crimping my style for leveling...

The game was so fun for a short while. :D

Now everythings over, take out the umbrellas, hump ridges, and camp so hard it'd make a cod pro's head explode.

I was hoping you guys would also fix the friendlist resetting to halfway down with every change of the social tab screens.

lately the scrolling up is very real.

Everyone, jump on the YAY they are fixing stuff bandwagon and forget that they broke it during the patch.... when was the last patch any of you remember that didn't break something in game already?


PGI, seriously, it is time to fire all the buddies working together, suck it up, stop taking vacations and hire some real developers... your company has shown a lack of understanding how game mechanics function in coordination with each other, breaking your game every patch, followed by hot fixes to the patch of the hotfix for the initial patch is BS guys....

my request: please stop adding broken content into a broken game, fix the game we have, THEN add more content.... a year and a half after release and this game is still essentially closed beta worthy, not even Open beta..... really, its time to get your heads out of your turdholes and stop breaking your game

The old/normal Missile locks behavior requires the reticule over the "red box".

The pre-hotfix behavior was that you had to have the reticule over "the mech" and it's really hard to aim for at range because the size of the mech obviously is smaller at longer ranges.
