Those who fight together survive together.

We introduced the Looking For Group feature in our April 7th patch, and to celebrate the new feature we're challenging you to play in a group of each possible size.

There are lots of little prizes to earn, and if you manage to run a qualifying match in each of the listed group sizes by the end of the event you'll get to choose between a new Cockpit Item or a chunk of MC. So group-up and drop-in, MechWarrior!

Any game mode can qualify, but you must achieve the minimum match score for that mode while in the correct group size in order to meet your goal!

To use the Looking For Group feature, simply:

• Click the Social button at the bottom of your Home, MechLab, Skills, Faction, or Store screens
• Access the LFG tab
• Click the 'Add Me to the Looking for Group Queue' button

Requirements

• Assault, Conquest, and Skirmish: Minimum match score of 30 in a correct group size (these matches can also count to the UrbanMech Leaderboard Event)
• Invasion and Counter Attack: Minimum Match score of 80 in a correct group size

Group Size Goals and Prizes:

3 + (min match score)	1 x C-bill consumable pack (1 coolshot, 1 air strike, 1 uav)
4 + (min match score)	40 GXP
5 + (min match score)	2 x C-bill consumable pack (2 coolshot, 2 air strike, 2 uav)
6 + (min match score)	60 GXP
7 + (min match score)	3 x C-bill consumable pack (3 coolshot, 3 air strike, 3 uav)
8 + (min match score)	80 GXP
9 + (min match score)	3 days of Premium time
10 + (min match score)	100 GXP
12 + (min match score)	1 million C-bils

2 - 10 & 12	Island Cockpit Item or 500 MC

I'm a little confused. In order to qualify do we have to use the LFG tab, or do we just need to be in a group?

I have been playing around with LFG as a solo and in grps and as far as i can tell you can make a group invite a few friends and then put your group in the LFG tool. I am hoping that will qualify it, if not you can make a group of one set it to password only and then just msg friends with the password until you get to the desired size.

There were a few people that got the cockpit item early... one of which doesn't play anymore (to my knowledge).

no, literally a little island in a water jar thingy. we islanders all want one

so do you need to drop in every group size once or isit enough to drop 10 times in a 12man?

You can only earn Each Prize once and once you have played in each group size and unlocked each prize you get a choice of the Island or 500 MC.

Theoretically you could get everything in 10 drops. That's a nice change from the typical weekend grind challenges, thanks PGI!

Interesting. So those who don't even know what being on an island is all about can earn the item, but those of us who WERE ON THAT ISLAND have to fight for it? It's like getting a campaign ribbon for a war you didn't fight in. As being a proud islander and crusader for the cause of Mechwarrior, having been playing in the beta since before the founders program, continued to play through all of the bullshizzle, vehemently argued on the forums against consumables, 3rd person, and the gross bastardization and overpowering of ECM - I KNOW what being on the island is like. I would research and gather opinions from the 300+ person strong LCAF hub community, and ensure my ideas supported the mainstream players before presenting them to the devs via the forums and PM's. I still have ideas sitting in the sent box that Russ and Paul have not read, along with ideas to Tina regarding the 'on an island' cockpit item that has not been read. (At least acknowledgement would be nice, but I know, stating that, I sound passive aggressive, so I'll digress instead.) I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for not having time to read my essays, but I KNOW what it's like to live on that island. I've lived longer on the island than many of the people who will be able to earn the campaign ribbon 'on an island' have been playing the game. I've already had to explain it to two of my veteran players because they might have been playing, but weren't part of the forum, twitter, and reddit wars and didn't go to the town hall meetings. The only time they go to the forums is when I give them a link they should check out.

So, am I bitter about people who 'weren't there' earning the 'on the island' medal? No, because this is EXACTLY the kind of bullshizzle that makes me feel that us islanders are on an island to begin with. I am a proud islander. I don't need a medal to prove it, but I would like one. But if ANYONE can get the medal, then it's not fair to those of us who have actually earned it. Makes me sad.

HOWEVER. PGI has done a fantastic job with the game since dumping IGP, which I would say was the end of the 'on an island' era, and I'm glad for that. Customer service is excellent! The game really has improved and I have faith the game will keep improving. This is NOT the feeling we islanders had a year or so ago. So, great work! I'll stick around. And when PGI wants to row their dugout canoes to the island to visit, we'll be here with coconut milk and crab legs.

Can one only qualify if he or she uses the LFG tool? Or can we just premade + stomp?
