This is how it should have been done:

Mechlab with mech stats and quirks always showing, should be scalable for any screen resolution:

Home tab with Mech selection incorporated:

And this screen should not exist:

Here's a simple solution.
Have Mech Select with the option, of 'Tree' or 'Thumbnail' view.
Then everyone's happy.

Those of us with more mechs than sense can jump around the condensed.
Those that like the massive wall of mechs can browse through the sea of thumbnails.

A lot of love and hate and there's no single style that will make everyone happy.

Solution?

Modify the UI with some standard, published XML (or whatever) interface and let the community create their own interface add-ons. Then the official one can be basic, straight forward for new players, and you can absolve yourself of the responsibility of its appearance.

...monetize the option if you must...

On to the dogpile... I logged in thinking, "cool, built in smurfy. Wait, what? I have to change my resolution? Okay. (Go up to 1080) ... Wait, what? Why is everythingso small now?" Then mech select... It all lost its luster very quickly. Still using the real web smurfy, if that doesn't tell you all you need to know.

It'd be great to have a way to add/remove modules from mechs quickly. Example. Using the old mechlab model, be able to drag one module from a mech, and drop it onto another mech. Just on the wishlist.

An... hour...

Sorry, this ones on you kid, it's really, really obvious, and in most of the screenshots to boot.

Go to the Mechlab.
In Column View, it's the Upgrades tab at the bottom.
In Expanded View it's the Upgrades box with all the upgrades in the bottom left.

I hadn't used it in Columns yet, knowing it'll be in the Mechlab, I looked there.
Including switching to Column view, took roughly 6-7 seconds to find it.
