And it seems the further we go, the more soap opera we get. Is there a blog with pure patch-notes?
Anything else would feels like waste of time at this point.

I am bailing out of this thread, since it moved away from a discussion about the game to a shitshow lead by two forum members throwing **** at the project whereever possible.
The last thing I am giving you guys to read is the Answer Ortwin Freyermuth gave the Escapist yesterday. It should wipe away some of your "arguments".

Have fun circlejerking and I will come back as soon as you guys moved back to a discussion about the game
Anecdotal maybe but I thought I'd share...
Tried Arena Commander last night. Framerate was bad, controls and flight model were awful... I gave up.
Tried Elite Dangerous Close Quarters Combat last night. I had a blast! I loved it! So much fun.
Why is this significant?
Arena Commander and Close Quarters Combat are basically identical. Both have deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag. Both have limited ships you can use.
But in Elite...
1. Can't tell what controller folks are using--controllers don't matter! It is balanced.
2. Framerate is great.
3. It doesn't feel like a first person twitch shooter.
4. More polished (don't you dare say alpha)
Arena Commander was released. Arena Commander has all sorts of clunky interfaces and broken poo that detract from the experience. Close Quarters Combat is slick. Significant thought was put into laying everything out. You can modify your ship loadouts in the waiting for next mission screen (while still pooled with players), for instance. It is fun. Arena Commander feels like a chore to play.
I've played both. Elite seems to have their heads screwed on in some places (while lacking others--ahem Solo/Group/Open modes... there should only be one mode... open mode) while Star Citizen can't make up their mind what they are doing.
I backed Star Citizen. I bought Elite upon release. I regret not backing Elite instead and just ignoring Star Citizen altogether.

I reinstalled elite from steam.... never really played it and got it at launch. This cqc sounds fun... i might get into it..
Most fun i had in star citizen was trolling mwo on their forums
.. thats it

The fact that videos like this even exist confirms my prediction that this game would crash & burn. By the time they deliver on all the silly promises they made (IF that ever comes close to happening that is...), a new game that does the same things BETTER will already exist.

If you have an account and have tried out Arena commander, I might buy your opinion, otherwise, you have no veracity or right to have your opinion heard. Like Derek Smart does not. (I'll explain this more simply - Without actual experience with the Alpha, your point of view, or prediction, means nothing.)

LOL Well I do... and I can safely say the space combat part of Star Citizen sucks.

Yea, I kinda got that feeling from his reply.
Plus, I absolutely DO have a right to an opinion. I have followed enough political campaigns to recognize false promises when I see them. I mean seriously, how much were they offering for spaceship concepts again? Something like $10,000.00 for ship concepts that hadn't even yielded a digital prototype yet?
Here is my opinion of people who would fork that kind of cash over to a concept like that:
... ... ...
what a poor sob...
I believe I am justified to that opinion as well.
