I used to look to MetaMechs for ideas on optimising my Mechs. But unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have been updated in a while, or at least, to have moved with the times, including the tougher heat penalties on Clan Mechs.

Here's what I'm thinking for Clan CW Drop Deck:

2Hellbringers with 2ERLs and 4ERMLs, a Streak Crow, and another Storm Crow with ERLLs/ERMLs.

But what's your advice?

65t/65t/TBR/ACH
Both 65t being either Hellbringers or ebon jaguars.

playing nothing but meta is boring, crap and totally against the nature of a mechwarrior. its about driving mechs for the fun and not for the fkin meta itself.
yes, TBR are fun, yes i do that myself (on a few occasions) but did you really try to play something like 2 nova's, 1 shc + 1 whk?

if you get bored by the game its because you dont try to play something else. the content is here, in front of you.
play mechs you dont like until you figured them out. there are plenty of mechs that just WAIT to be discovered in CW.
you cant imagine how much fun i had in my victors, quickdraws, highlanders and trebuchets (no, i didnt use LRM's).

and then i constantly placed top of the troop (pugs that is).

its even easier for clanmechs than IS mechs.

I've decided to build separate decks for hot attack, hot defence, cold attack and cold defence.

Hellbringers and Storm Crows feature prominently, with Timbies and Cheesers throw in for tanking and skirmishing as needed.

Hellbringer , hellbringer ,hellbringer ,cheetoo( or med ppc sniper)

All of ith ecm , hell bilringers with medium lasers and gauss.

Any combination of timbers/hellbringers/ebon jaguar/cheetah will work great. You can also sub in one niche mech (warhawk, nova, shadow cat) or if really brave, a Dire Wolf (only on defence and dropping with a group because you will never keep up on offence)

I run Hellbringer x 3 (1 of which is erll dedicated sniper) followed up by an ice ferret (3x ssrm4) works for me, but I have a limited selection of clan tech available.

Sadly there is no room for a dire wolf, they are just too slow and get focused on

I keep mixing it up I own 2 Direwolves,1 WHK-B, 2 Ebon Jaguars, 1 Hellbringer, 3 Stormcrows, 3 Adders and 3 T-Wolves. I am still in the midst of the Great Gauss Experiment. Find your joy.

depends how bad it is.
i use a highlander with er ppc, gauss and srms. works very well at any point.
ofc if you put 5 diff weaps in it... meh. i expect people to have a bit of common sense to not do that...
