Instant queue times, but EXTREMELY TERRIBLE matches. Stomp after stomp, again, again and again. PGI definitely just shut MM off, so it's simply random matchmaking now. I don't want to be a raw meat for Meta players, sorry. I returned after Steam release to see, if this game had improved a little but, but now I quit again, till I won't see, that MWO has proper skill-based MM. And also PGI, teach your MM to track short-term lose streaks. Otherwise you'll lose all your players pretty soon.

UPD For those, who love to say "L2P noob":
1) I have been playing this game since Open Beta. About 5500 matches played. So problem isn't with my experience.
2) There are no good or bad players in MM-based game - every player should play at his own level of skill. If MM fails to match you with and against players with proper skill level - it's problems with MM, not with me. You should advance to next level of skill only after beating previous one. Playing against Ronaldo and Messi and being forced to "improve" to their level of skill since the first day of playing football - is nonsense, sorry.
3) This game was terrible since implementation of 3/3/3/3 and release of Clans. There was enough time to fix it. And I had been playing it for about a year, while it had been terrible, before quitting it for the first time. This time was enough to test my patience - now I have run out of it. That's why now it's "fix it or I quit" - nothing more, nothing less.

Clearly the OP doesn't understand the laws of large numbers or averages.... You will get stomp after stomp after stomp every so often, just as you will get win streaks...

First are you playing in group queue or solo?

Second why do you believe you're entitled to win? Do you carry harder every match or are you looking to be carried? If you don't do at least 200-300 DMG in the match and get at least one kill you're the problem. Your average DMG total from you total games played should be around 300.

If not you need to get better and practice more that simple. Head to the mech academy mech warrior!

Sooo... You left the game? For how long? It sounds like you came back expecting to have the same skill as when you left, all your old builds to perform the same and mechwarrior to be exactly as you left it. What tier are you in? Maybe the community can give you some pointers on what and how to play in that tier. Are you playing in a unit? The right unit can make all the difference in the world in MW:O.

There has been a lot of improvement to the game. Units are where it's at. PUG matches are the dredge. You will only punish yourself and grow contept for the game if play PUG queue only. If you like, I would be happy to introduce you to a couple good Steiner units or Show you to a few Teamspeak HUBS with some good people to get you into a different faction and unit.

There are a lot of options. Try a few different things before throwing in the towell.

I had been playing this game for about a year, while it had been terrible, before quitting it for the first time - it was enough time to test my patience. Now I return to game from time to time in order to test, if something has been improved. Nothing improved? Same terrible MM? Same stomps again, again and again? Then I quit again. As simply, as that.

Guy played the game for only a year, leaves for a long time, and comes back expecting to carry and surprised that he got stomped. What a laugh. Posted Image

Well there's your problem right there. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you're not very good at the game. And you don't stick around and practice enough to actually get better.

For a year, while it was terrible - for another year, while it was great. If it was great while beta, then why it can't be great now? May be problem isn't with me then?

You need to carry harder OP.

that aside... a BIG problem is that some of the new players somehow managed to get into T3...
Do you know how it feels to go on a loss streak for 19 matches with average 688 damage and 2 kills per game?....
it gets old fast.

After all this time, I still prefer the original random "matchmaker" over the 3/3/3, Elo, PSR, and release valve methods we have had so far. Sometimes, simpler is actually better.

I wonder how much of that tier 5 is getting screwed up by all the tier 1 alt accounts. I seen a lot of people talk about making new accounts to play in the lower tiers.

Learn to read more gooder. He never mentioned losing or winning. I've seen the same thing some nights, it's 12-0, 12-1, 12-3, 12-0 all ******* night long. I hate stomps no matter what side I'm on. I'd happily lose 20 games in a row if they were good fights.

He has a valid point about matchmaker too. I get that my crappy Oceanic server doesn't have enough players so my matches are full of tier 3s, whatever. But sometimes I get instantly dropped in to a match full of tier 3s. They combined the player pool by eliminating game mode choice and dropping wait times, but didn't tighten up MM. I think that was a mistake.

Me too but thanks to people who think they are entitled to win we have "no child left behind" systems in place like ELO so they can get wins without ever knowing how bad they really are. While the good players have to carry epic hard to give them those free wins.

Is that with you and the top 10% using your exploits and hacks? or not?

OP sorry to see you go a large portion or the pug and casual groups that started 3 years ago have abandoned a sinking ship as PGI still maintains the best way to run the MM solo and CW is by letting seal clubbing continue until MWO is back under 10,000 total players to satisfy that top 10% that is on there own island and the unseen majority.

I love the "sinking ship" and "players abandoning" assumptions that get thrown around.

PGI wouldn't keep doing this if they didn't make money...and judging from the way Steam tracks, plenty still play.

Also, OP, you ARE the problem.
