I might not be the most artsy but I don consider my self good with a Copy of Solid works. So I started an endeavor to come up with a concept model for what a Mad Cat Mk.II could be in game. Not arguing that if will or wont come. But trying to give it a bit of MWO influence. It is a continuation off what I started with the arm.

I post a poll HERE for community feed back on what would be a good general design.

I can not get all the little details into this probably in the amount of free time I do have, there is not a lot of it for the in depth details. I am making it modular so that I can create the different variant load outs at a later date. right now I am staring with the basic configuration

Right now the basic influence is off the Mech Warrior 4 (the first rendition EVER of this mech) and some TRO influence as well.

For now I am calling it good for now (plus with spring break I am going to be working alot to get more $$)

I feel this is a very close design to what we would see in MWO the inline legs make more sense realistically compared to offset (bow legged). THis design has a bit of everything from MW4, TRO, and MWO.

Personally I'd reduce the torso & increase the arm sizes, otherwise it starts to become a Stalker with cannon arms. It was created in the shape of a much larger Ebon Jag, except with a twisting torso & more overall bulk. For FPS gameplay you may also want to tone down the missile racks since they're part of the ST's.

For pure aesthetics, I'd probably streamline the missle racks & rear torso "cube". Otherwise it looks like a great start.

Off to a good start!

I loved the Mad Cat MKII in MW4, the BT TRO art is almost a different mech proportion wise (close to what Hydrocarbon called a Stalker with Mad cat arms) it's tricky to balance. Personally, I would make the cockpit closer the Timer Wolf size. It would be a smaller target shielded by the Gauss Rifles and emphasize the larger body of the MK II.

The launchers will be a tough call, they seem lower and closer to the arms on the MKII mini. Maybe if you shaver the corners off the boxer rear torso, it will drop the launchers down enough to give it a more streamline profile.

Good luck with the legs, everyone has trouble the that one. One artist on Diviant Art used the legs from the War Hawk/Dire Wolf, might be worth a shot.

Feel free to dismiss this, but I think the arms look off, with the hollow face around the weapon fixtures. Personally, I'd use the rifleman's basic energy over ballistic form, then accentuate the hexagonal form by working in details from sources like the classic timby and the highlander IIC.
As a fan of the lenticular CT shape in the mini shown above, may i suggest a compromise with the circular design you are going for, compressing the CT to a flatter, more oval shape. ST lasers could draw inspiration from Black Knight ST laser arrangement.
The last detail is the missile structures, which I preferred the ones in the older draft, as opposed to the angled structures on the newer design. The bulky shape looks more plausibly able to house reloading racks and such. Definitely angle at least the front face up a bit, but in order to really give this a unique profile, why not look at hexagonal missile structures as shown on the mkII-enhanced on sarna?

Also, i'm working on a 3d model of a mech myself (using Google Sketchup, because it's freeeeeee) and will be posting it the upcoming weekend.

I am using solid works, school has it along with my work so I know how it work woth it though profile lofting is a bit tricky to get right. Head still is a bit to round but will play with it some more

Ok after a good 8+ hours on this today I know there are some details left out that I need to cover BUT I think I got a good almost finished product! Took some elements off the extincting TBR and TRO Mad Cat Mk.II combine with some MW4 influence....MY head and eyes hurt now though I didn't eat all day finishing this up O.o
