The frustration is a slow process. it started in 2013. A single town hall is not something that can frustrate anyone, it is just the latest ring in the chain.

My frustration is not about if PGI cares about opinions or not..They do.
Not always (looking at Machine guns and LRMs) but they do. I know they do care.

The problem is not if they listen or not... the problem is that you can make them see/read something ONLY if you post it in their personal social media channels.

There is not only that... the sadder part is that even some vital information are often being channeled ONLY through twitter or reddit despite the game having an extensive forum. ( I can give you more than 20-30 examples there, where important info can only be found on a small tweet from Russ)

again...I ask myself... what is the point of forums? do the community manager monitors/reads the forums? Does she channel good suggestions towards the right person?

And my final qustion... why do Paul HATEs machine guns?

I just enjoy hanging out with all of you, even those of you that I do nothing but argue with. We're friends at this point so we may as well keep the forums alive and full of argumentative spirit.

I think that this opinion of yours is stupid. However, I could not stop myself from liking it.

A shame Russ and crew cant be bothered to let their consumer base know what is going on. Guess, they do not have any incentive to.

The April Road Map was a week late.

Russ said in the Town Hall that he would combine the May Road Map with June.

So he can't be bothered with his own forums, either.

Yes, the frustration IS a slow process. However, keep in mind PGI is new to all of this, I'm surprised they even took the chance to rid of IGP, usually new companies new to this business would keep such another company to back them up. And I'm talking in the sense of developing and producing as well as marketing a game on their own, PGI has been known to do production of other games once in awhile, but never really published one on their own.

And yes, PGI does care, but what they don't care for, is the confusion and conflict. the anger and the accusations, the falsification and the unknown. When two sides collide, and PGI cannot sate both, that's when they start ignoring us, because the two cannot compromise no matter what. IT's a matter of their choices, it's come down to the wire and they've had enough, right now this last TH was a statement, moreover this is what I believe it translated to:

"We've had enough of the community suggesting what we should do. Stop fighting, because we're tired of hearing what we do is right and what we do is wrong. Stop the complaining, and start the feedback. We're going to push through with things whether you all like it or not, and we'll adjust accordingly as is."

As for making them notice, yes, that's the only way nowadays considering those back in beta scared them off due to the bickering and anger and frustration from the community.

And yes, I know you can, I'm well aware of that.

As per say, for the forums, I've already stated it. Tina our CM has been busy with all the meetings PGI has had, but she has done some good if you've already forgotten, remember the Haiku's with free premium time? Or how about the weekly creation thing? She's just been busy with PGI that she hasn't had time to work with us as she used to back then. As for good suggestions, she does, back to what I was saying, she hasn't had time.

As for why Paul hates machine guns... maybe he doesn't, maybe he hates the fact that he can't balance them without causing an exploit.

the forums are purely a form of entertainment. it helps if you dont take them too seriously. i see as many good ideas as bad ones from your various arm chair game developers. i hope pgi does read some of the better ideas. going beyond game suggestions its still useful for discussing builds and tactics and things of that nature and the giveaways are nice too.

Exactly what does twitter do? When it started to become a thing I thought to myself that there is nothing that it can do that can not be done just as well or even better in a forum. It seems to be something that is made just to spout one liners. I am sure I am missing something.

You aren't even at a 1-1 ratio!

Get on my level, (insert low level ForumWarrior tier)
(What do those squares mean? I have 11, to your 9)

Well, I have a 5 star profile rating so...

I actually have no idea what that means... But I am claiming it as evidence e of my superior forumwarrioring.

Most everything gets done and discussed on Twitter, and I'm sure even Russ is getting bombarded on that from all directions.

Dear Coordinator is proud to deliver all enemy tactical nukes long toms into Russ's direction.

Frenemies - friendly enemies, or people who like hurting each other than drinking beers and laughing afterwards.

Haha, that's ok, if I want it fixed I will start a thread titled: "Russ is my hero" and attempt to defend the position that PGI does good things.

Well, PGI does do some good things.

They also do some very bone-headed things.

It's going to depend on what you say is good, but more important will be how you present yourself. You'd have to be a real d-bag to get a down-vote from me. :P

I actually would probably be a white knight if I spent a lot of time expressing my opinions here. I have a lot of fun playing so I consider all the complaints I have to be over minor things. Honestly, I wouldn't show up to work tomorrow if I had a whole forum full of people who thought everything I did was stupid, so I have to give Russ and Paul credit for that.
