I can't find any option in the team profile to resign from the tournament and can't find any contacts for this in the faq.... so this topic.

My Team -BO-, the Black Outlaws, have to resign from the tournament !

We have several members in our team roster that have not enough time to play so many matches in the next weeks/months.
Some are on unexpected workings trips, some have to make holidays with their children and some just dont want to spend so much time on a tournament with such a uncoordinated schedule. ( i wont spend hours to coordinate all the matches against ALL others European Teams )
Again the playerbase is doing the job PGI should have taken care for.

Without the option to change members in the player roster, we could only play maybe about 50% of all matches. Some also would have to take work vaction to ensure some matches... that's too much for us.

We are all mid-aged players with family, work and friends - summer is coming, football european championships are taking place in france, and beside my hard work i wont waste my leisure this summer to arrange matches and getting mad about all the other problems (tournament client pp.).

Way too much effort...

Sorry for my bad english, but we are very very disappointed about the way this tournament has been planed.

Good Luck everyone participating until the end - you will need it and dont waste too much of your family summertime with playing a computer game ;-)

....It is not just hitting your team. I go on late shift next week.....and due to the fact that one was not abel to take the invite due to his holidays so ourour team is just 11 men..and has nearly the same problems now. First game lost..due to the fact that we had been just 7 wich had time on the first encounter..... ( I ve been there ...)
We heard about a lot of teams loosing games cause to this small team system...Due to the fact that Russ B is not paying my bills.......we all have your problem.

You are not alone! I m also a bit pissed about the system.

I am a member of the CrazyBeavers, and we seem to have the same problems with not enough active players for a 8 man team :(

Is it possible to MERGE the active players from 2 teams, or substitute our inactive players with active players from a team which has already been disqualified for not having 8 active players in 3 matches ?

IMO PGI dropped the ball on this in quite a few areas. -SO-, we always bust each others balls in game play and always great teammates/opponents.

I'm guessing we will drop out in month or two. We're only going to keep this up why it's still fun to play. Dealing with the reschedules is starting to be a pain. Just yesterday our captain had to reschedule both our games because the other teams couldn't field the players. I guess we could have just taken the auto wins but what's the fun in this.

I understand why were playing the same map over and over but it sure is going to get old.

I am honestly surprised at the scope and sheer size of what PGI is trying to do here. As the lead for the first MWLL tournament over five years ago, I know what a nightmare the logistics of such an undertaking can be. To be honest, if I had been in charge of this tournament I would have left even more of the details in the hands of the Team Captains. I would have simply set a start date and an end date to each portion of the competition. Then I would have provided each Team Captain with a list of the teams that his/her team must play during that time period. Along with the list would have been the contact information for each Team Captain. Then it would have been up to them to contact each other and arrange the matches. Match results would then be reported back to PGI along with a screenshot just like they are now. That way all matches could be schedule at the leisure of the two teams involved. Also all the matches could be completed in a week or be stretched out over the entire available time period for that portion of the competition. These would all be the pre-qualifier matches.

Once the field was narrowed down to a manageable number of teams then I would have gone with the hard scheduled matches.

Props to PGI for attempting this. I know from experience how dificult and stressful it can be properly managing a tournament of this magnitude. This first year will be a learning experience for them. Next year, they will know what to expect and will have some experience dealing with it. Hopefully, the format next year will be the Solaris arena and therefore easier to manage in some ways.

Sorry to see some teams leaving the Tournament and best of luck to the teams that stay in and compete to the end.

^^ What Rampage said. You have to restrict team size, and be it 12, 16 or 40 there will still be teams that drop out.

80 matches is a lot, but I also understand there is no fair way to seed this tournament

There won´t be another PGI Tournament... Just like they dropped out of MRBC after their first season.

Yet this is the 3rd PGI Tournament.
Launch Event Tournament in 2013
First Engagement Tournament in 2014
and now the MWOWC Tournament in 2016.

I do not know the history behind their involvement in MRBC but those matches are run by an outside entity. The MWO World Championship Tournament is PGI's baby and responsibility. They make the rules and they call the shots unlike MRBC. I do not have your apparent powers of farsight but I believe there will be a 2017 Tournament.

Maybe there will and maybe not...
For my personal state of mind i am really disappointed and sad and maybe that´s the reason why i am so disenchanted.

I wish all the other Units good luck and fun in this tournament.

Guys please remember, you are only getting disqualified if you are missing 3 matches / cant make 3 matches WITHOUT NOTICING us. As long as one of you shows up to inform the Referee we arent gonna punish you.

How about allow teams to merge. But give them 3 losses (cause of 3 forefeits).

Sry, but round robin format was only made after teams was set. I don't think toruney would beneft if after first month it will be 4 teams playing

Or allow to fill teams to 16 players/ or kick out inactives and fill with normal plp
