Is the 169 points of armor correct or did someone forget to DOUBLE for MWO when copying the armor figures from tabletop ?

It's correct for tabletop. The number should be doubled for MWO, just like the Viper went from 134 points on TT to 268 points for MWO. I expect the actual loadout will have 338 points.

I find mysef hoping it doesn't heel too much while running. PGI has no precedent (yet) for animating a leg with that setup. On the other hand, I'm not sure anyone will bother shooting at the CT on that thing...

Unless those A-variants pods get some serious quirk loving I see them as only belonging on the trash heap. The Prime's pods are far better hard points wise. It has everything (and that isn't much) that the A has plus a ton more!

Lol wut? This mech is going to be like the Kodiak... ALL CT.

You can easily differentiate the ST's and it will be tiny.

You ever played KDK? It's quite balanced even now: you can more or less identify where the torsos are, but it is easy to shield them (left side is excellent for shielding).
Generally PGI is good at hiboxes, though there are some wierdos like the aforementioned KDK or BNC with assymetrical STs:
Spoiler

KDK will be fixed soon actually))

On topic:
Huntsman CT will stick from some angles anyway, there are many mechs with similar thing and it wasn't a problem for most of them (maybe Dragon in the past). And i don't believe it will all be CT.
On the other hand if shoulder will be counted as a ST, than you can shoot it from the sides easily. Just imagine catapult ears were all S-Torsos. Or a snub-nose TBR with LRMs. From the front it is fine, but from the flank those shoulders are the best target: they huge, they stick a lot, they belong to just a 50-tonner.

I'll probably buy it anyway, it's wonderfull art and the camo on hero and special variants deserve some money to be spend!

It should be trivially easy to get 24.5 tons of free space on it.

Is that including the 5 locked jump jets? Both torsos, CT, and legs all have one JJ locked.

Just curious if anyone really figured out the real free tonnage yet.

Easiest pre-order since the Shadowcat/Ebon Jag. This thing is awesome, thanks for the great work!

The question is, if you buy f.e. the standard pack, can you buy the other variants (espc. the Hero) omnipods for CB's?

Or.. you need to own f.e. the Hero variant, to buy it's omnipods for CB's to use them on the other ones?

Probably won't be able to buy omnipods for the other variants for c-bills until the c-bill release. So yes, if you wanted the pods from the reinforcements and/or hero variants then you'd need to preorder them as well and then hot-swap

On a 50 ton mech Jumps jets are actually not a waste.

In the past omnipods for the non-base-pack mechs became available for c-bills when the associated mech was available for c-bills. Prior to that release you need to buy a copy of the mech (for $$$ or MC) and then redistribute the omnipods as you see fit. I presume the hero version of the Huntsman will follow this trend, but I wonder if they will do the same with the reinforcement version.

Hmm... This does look good, but how many mechs does one really need. I have over 150, and since a 50 ton mech cost the exact same as 100 ton (kodiak for everything was also $70) this seems like a rip off. Or the pricing scale is just broken. Wait that has always been true. LOL.
